Pros: Rooms clean, bed comfortable, Very quiet, Room service and food great, close to any location in Melbourne.
Cons: Just being able to keep room cool.
Location: Location close to lots of things, casino is in walking distance as is Southbank. Also close to walk to main shopping area of Melbourne.
We stayed at this hotel as we had an event to go to, which was being held in same hotel. The service, check in and valet parking all quick and efficient.I like the hotel and rooms are great, but turned airconditioner to lowest and still too warm. I understand this is a personal preference, but if I set temp at 16, should be nice and cool. Instead felt stuffy to me. Apart from that everything was fine.

Cons: Arrange for regular removal of room service trays from corridors. Training of reception staff
Location: Well located to shopping in CBD, art galleries, Flinders St Station, river.
We walked past the same, open, partially consumed room service trays left outside three other rooms on our corridor for two days! They weren't touched until we grew tired of them each time we walked up and down to the lift and asked for them to be removed!! Front desk service folk seemed indifferent. We asked about the club lounge we'd booked for - the answer was 'Yes' - no direction, no information given! Luckily when we found the club room ourselves, the folk there were friendly, attentive and plied us with yummy food and drink.

Pros: The cosy room colour scheme was rich and homely. I liked the great quality and comfortable bedding.
Cons: Perhaps include 2 toothbrushes with the toiletries. Perhaps the location of the TV could be on the wall opposite the bed for easier viewing.
Location: This hotel is very conveniently located in the CBD with easy access to Central Pier and Melbourne Docklands by trams and taxis.
The staff were friendly and demonstrated great star customer service. It was great to be a short walk from Southern Cross Station and all amenities. I would stay here again.

Cons: Hot Breakfast and coffee.
Location: Shops. Trains. Skybus. Coffee shops.
Everything was excellent. I would just like to mention the fact that the cooked Breakfast was luke warm and so was the esspresso coffee. It would be better if the tables could be cleared of used crockery more efficiently. Otherwise great.

Very impressed with the warm and friendly staff who obviously have excellent training and who I suspect are managed well, since kindness comes from the top. The location, staff and breakfast are the major strengths, and the room facilities are clean and adequate. The standard rooms do not have natural light or views, but not important for me for this stay since I was not in the room during the day. The only glitch was a problem with the shower mixer in my room which didn't give adequate hot water, and even though maintenance staff were given 24 hours notice to fix it before my second shower, apparently they decided the water was hot enough! Brrr! However the client-facing staff were very apologetic and gave me access to an empty room nearby for my second shower. In addition they let a friend have a free breakfast with me and gave me a free upgrade voucher for my next visit, which was a great comeback and evidence of excellent service training.
