Working in melbournePosted Sep 20, 2014
Working in Melbourne for a week. Hotel was 5 minutes walk to the exhibition Centre. Close to restaurants and trams. There was a kitchen in the apartment for when I wanted to cook for myself.

Convenient location, but problem with air conPosted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: Clean room, adequate cooking facilities, and the management provided dishwashing liquid and laundry powder which was really thoughtful.
Cons: The heat pump issue - and it would be nice to know if and when a cleaning crew would come through! We weren't aware and was surprised.
Location: The location is handy - there was a tram station right outside the door, and a small supermarket downstairs in the same building.
The shortstay apartments are quite handy to the conference centre but after 2 days of using the in room heat pump, both my husband and I felt dizzy and sick. When we opened the windows and let fresh air come through we felt much better - so we didn't use the heat pump for the remainder of our stay.

Great locationPosted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: The hotel was well located to our conference location of the Crown Promenade and our room had very modern styling and totally clean.
Cons: The comforter/doona on the bed was very thin as was the extra blanket in the wardrobe. We would like to see more substantial blankets provided please.
Location: As we were visiting for a work conference, we were at the Crown Promenade every day and all our activities were pre-planned. DFO was walking distance.
We booked a three bedroom apartment for three work colleagues to share which suited us very well. We assumed one bedroom would be the "master" probably with an ensuite which was correct, although the ensuite was hidden behind the walk in wardrobe which was amusing, but absolutely fine. Therefore only two had to share the main bathroom. We did encounter a problem with the air conditioning on the first night which we could not adjust from cooling to heating despite consulting the instructions and trying for over half an hour with the remote. We reported the problem the next day and returned to the apartment that night to find all was rectified. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a beautiful, even though the weather was far too cold to use the balcony at the time of our visit. There is an IGA supermarket located on the ground floor which we found very convenient. The kitchen was well appointed with dishwasher and microwave oven as well as a full oven.

4day 3night stay at the short stay on whitemanPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: It was quiet and friendly but also very convenient to the conference I was attending .
Cons: Security. It is recommended that the key be left in the door overnight.this meant walking in the dark to my bedroom. Not satisfactory.
Location: Exhibition centre nearby . casino across the road. Conference nearby. massive factory outlet nearby . Lots of shopping . tram at the door .
Very comfortable stay . A lovely welcome by staff on arrival. Concierge very attentive throughout the stay. 2 Concerns. Security at night. There is a little tiny note on entry door to put keys in door overnight. To do this had to walk in the dark to my bedroom. For my own safety I removed door key from ring placed into the door so I could put room card into the power slot.

Nice apartments, great locationPosted Jul 27, 2014
Pros: It was nica and clean
Cons: There was a fair bit of street noise.
Location: Walking distance to DFO, Restaurants of Southbank. The casino is across the road, and it's only a short tram ride to heart of Melbourne.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Whiteman, the location was just perfect with the IGA on the ground floor, and the tram stops across the street. The rooms were clean and comfortable
