Great Stay

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Stayed here for a long weekend with friends. The hotel is in a good location and is quiet at night. The room was not luxurious but was comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were nice and amenable - they allowed us to check in early and check out an hour later with no fuss or fee. Would definitely stay here again.

Metro has credit on the Bank ( place)

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the position is great.
Location: Everything in the city of Melbourne is close by. Great shopping, Melbourne coffee places, rail and tram services...
This hotel is tucked away in a typical quaint Melbourne lane way that is close to everything and has everything you need.

What a lovely hotel and amazing staff!! Everything is clean and all the basics are there in the room for your personal comfort. The location of the hotel is also really central and close to everything (Flinders St station, Fed Square, Queen Vic Market, Bourke St Mall, Collins St just to name a few!)

Good Location. Close to tram, shops, casino

Posted May 28, 2014
Pros: The location was very good and the staff were very helpful at the front desk. The apartment is also serviced everyday except Sundays. Good price too!
Cons: Maybe have an oven instead of a convection microwave. It was very hard to also get into the shower recess- vanity too large and leaves only 30cm gap.
Location: Not far walk to Bourke St Mall, Casino. DFO's, tram, train station etc. Beautiful Indian restaurant next door!
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel and would stay again. The apartment is fully self contained and has everything you need including a washing machine and dryer. Its not a far walk to many of the good restaurants, cafe's and close for shopping. If you are using the Skybus from the airport the hotel is just a short walk up Little Collins Street or you can get the hotel transfer. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and have all the details for public transport and getting around.

Good Location

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Location
Excellent location even if the taxi driver didn't know where it was. Room was clean and tidy with facilities to to cook etc although there are many places to eat within walking distance. The lift smells of an Indian restaurant as the lift shaft does to the indian below, you cant get there via the lift.

Quaint Hotel in nice area.

Posted May 19, 2014
Pros: Bank Place has a great old-world feel and there are good restaurants in close proximity.
Cons: The biggest problem is room size, however it would be hard to improve anything in this area due to the age and layout of the building.
Location: Very close to the historic Mitre Tavern, a short walk to Hardware Lane restaurants. The city centre is in reasonable walking distance.
Upgraded to a single bed appartment, huge bed with little room left in which to move as a result. However it and the rest of the aparrtment was comfortable and clean. The air conditioner was quite noisy and I had to turn it off to sleep. Very friendly staff.

Very good location, Excellent staff service

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Location and service.
Cons: yes, a good double glazing for noise, it wasn't that bad but on the weekend you can hear peoples noise and pubs.
Location: down town Melbourne and a mini supermarket near the corner.
The hotel has a great location, the access is not good if you go with a stroller as you have stairs to enter. The staff is really helpful from the cleaner, receptionist and everyone there.

Dark and Loud

Posted May 12, 2014
Pros: Close to CBD
Cons: Stay at another hotel
Location: Close to the Yarrow river, aquarium, shops, bars and x=close to a night club
Was on the second floor. Room next to another building. Pitch black all day, no natural light. The apartment is right next to a bar, restaurant and night club. Noise until they shut at circa 3.30am, then the street cleaners take over. Sleep very difficult. Only good point is that it is in the CBD and very close to the attractions.
