Great hotel but a couple of minor things

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Very happy with location and service. Room cleaners missed the fact that the previous occupant had used the milk - just because it looks like it hasn't been opened doesn't mean it hasn't. Picky? Of course, but when you get in late and tired and just want a cup of tea... I left a credit card deposit with one credit card and paid for the stay on another. 8 days later, the deposit still hasn't been returned to my credit card.

A lovely hotel

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: I loved its artistic style and design, loved the pool and the window views of the church or the park, the park was a great view.
Cons: The staff some of them could be little more like Grand Hyatt staff more respectful.also all 5 star hotels need shuttle bus courtesy for transiting.
Location: Lovely park, Melbourne museum it's not far from big theatre shows and parliament. Safe family location, so is grand Hyatt.
It won't disappoint as a hotel it's gorgeous. The location is great for views but not as great for parking or being inner city its a few blocks walk if you want better location walk distance wise to shops stay at grand Hyatt on Collins. I did enjoy the hotel and the 100 they gave to spend, Expedia should have said compliments of the park Hyatt but they did not mention it. Expedia should also strike an arrangement that we get our Hyatt member loyalty points even if we book here after all we are still being loyal to Hyatt staying at Hyatt and not their competition. Same goes for all the points clubs like Sheraton. So on. I love the as new park Hyatt, I do recommend it I just wish it had the grand Hyatt staff and food. The park Hyatt food is good I prefer grand hyatts personally that bit better. The German staff I met were pretty good but the others could be a little icey, the chefs friendly manner made up for it, I wont say they are bad it's just the grand Hyatt is that bit better service wise. The park Hyatts pool and overall hotel look is one of the best in Melbourne. I do recommend both hyatts In Melbourne for different reasons. I am hoping this review helps and that even the hotels make adjustments and ofcourse I would alter my view accordingly. All in all I would stay again I enjoyed the park Hyatt we had a lovely time a great swim and loved the decor and art works.

I was visiting Melbourne for PAX and it was great to have such a nice hotel to come back to after a long day of walking around the convention and melbourne. The spa bath was incredible.

City mini break

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Cons: Clarification on whether breakfast is included in price.
First time, enjoyed it throughly!! The only problem occurred when I found couple of days later an additional charge to my credit card. When I booked it said it was included and I asked at the hotel when checking in to confirm this. Please clarfiy in future.

Pleasant comfort

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: The excellent staff, the comfort and the location.
Cons: -
Location: Wonderful restaurants nearby in Flinders Lane and Little Bourke Street or a reasonably short tram-ride away. Walking in the nearby parks is lovely.
We needed somewhere handy to a clinic where my husband had day-surgery and for his recovery afterwards. This hotel was perfect. The staff are excellent - friendly, helpful, responsive, and useful. Our room was airy and very comfortable. Room-service provided a lovely dinner for us the night after my husband's operation. Public areas were pleasant and comfortable. The location, near the Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens, tram stops and Flinders Lane, is excellent.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were friendly and highly professional. The facilities were excellent and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and surprisingly inexpensive. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
