“Good location, small room”

The location was great, but the room (single) was really small. Not exactly a boutique hotel, more like a budget boutique hotel. Stayed at the Vibe Savoy after I left here, and if the rooms are around the same price, I would stay there as the rooms are quite a bit larger. If you need a good place to stay in Melbourne, and the price is right, The Pensionne is a decent enough place to stay - clean, great location and friendly staff.

“Otherthan internet access, everything was reasonable”

If you are planning a budget travel, this hotel is a right choice. Good access from the airport and to the city centre. A huge food court in the crown casino centre locates within 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The price for the internet access is relatively expensive and inconvenient.

“Impressed. Boutique hotel worth the price.”

This is our first time to Melbourne and we're expecting everything to be fine. Surprisingly Pensione Hotel is very near to Southern Cross station and Tram stops and convenient stores, thus it makes our journey convenient and safe. Talk about the rooms, the rooms are comfortable, with TV, lovely toiletries and clean. We enjoyed our stay for 4 days. Although the bathrooms are a bit small but it is acceptable. The receptionist are friendly to assist us in anything we need. Most importantly they can store our luggage free of charge as we will stay in Pensione again after our trip in Sydney.

“Nice mid-range hotel, with good location.”

The room was a bit cramped, and then I stayed in one of the smaller rooms. The place was well kept and clean. The service was good enough. Location is really nice, close to the Southern Cross station and just across the street from the newly developed southern river side. The internet is not free, FYI. There's basically no view outside the window, except the rooms on the other side of the hotel, but that may have been just my room. Overall, I really liked it for what it was.

“Nice stay”

Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfort enough, but little bit noisy. Great location, just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. Enjoy the stay..

“Enjoyable Stay and Decent Price”

Rooms could use some updating or maybe just some new paint. A little color to liven then up a bit. Otherwise, the location was convenient and the staff were great. I would stay here again.

I had expected a lot before I go to the hotel but what I've found were a very small room and a bathroom door that cannot be closed! Yet they claim to be a boutique hotel...

“Not a bad budget option”

Fairly reasonable rate for MEL CBD - room had large king-size bed, flat-screen TV, iron, mini fridge. Room & bath was tiny, especially the sink - which was probably the most annoying part - not very functional. Good enough if you need a place to sleep, although was annoyed housekeeping only made the beds and never vacuumed the carpet during our 3 night stay. Tops of storage cabinets also not dusted. Had no place to put our luggage except there if we wanted to walk around are room and ended up w/a cloud of dust!
