Great hotel - right on Lygon Street!Posted Feb 14, 2014
Pros: Clean well set up room, friendly and helpful staff. Reasonably priced.
Location: Eat, eat and eat! We were also able to walk to the Melbourne Museum - if we had more time, there were other attractions within easy walking distance.
We stayed here for just one night in a Spa king room and found it to be surprisingly large - with a sofa for watching TV, mini-bar and small spa bath. We had a comfortable night's sleep with a minimum of noise and enjoyed the convenience of just walking out of the door and strolling along Lygon St to find a restaurant. The buffet breakfast in the hotel restaurant was well set out and delicious - with lots of choices for the 'Continental' option. Free off-street parking is always a plus in a large city.

great locationPosted Feb 13, 2014
This is a very nice, clean, comfortable and quiet hotel in a really great location. Easy walk into the city, to heaps of great eating (Lygon street and surrounds), parks, and shopping (Brunswick street for instance).

Perfectly placed for Lyon st eateriesPosted Jan 4, 2014
Pros: Largish rooms, splendid breakfasts
Cons: The bathrooms...the shower should not be in the bath
Location: Within a few steps of the famous lygon Street Italian restaurant area and only ten minutes walk to the CBD
Slightly dated, but more than made up for by great staff and it's position

Proximity to St Vincent's Private HospitalPosted Dec 22, 2013
Pros: The size & cleanliness of the bathroom & the comfortable King bed!
Cons: Maybe have forks in with the cutlery so that if you have takeaway, like me, there's something other than spoons to eat fettuccine with!
Location: Everything is close by, beautiful restaurants along Lygon St, post office shop, the CBD is a short stroll, the Vic Market etc etc
No fuss, convenient, within easy walk of St Vincent's Private Hospital. Staff were fantastic, so helpful!

Decent hotelPosted Dec 10, 2013
Pros: Good location
Cons: Walls are quite thin so can be quite noisy.
Location: Good location to eat at restaurants.
About a 20 minute walk to the centre of Melbourne it is ideally placed especially as there are lots of places to eat nearby.. The rooms are basic but of a good standard. One gripe would be the walls are clearly not very thick as any noise from outside your room sounds like its in your room.
