Your feasting is not confined to the eclectic mix of restaurants cafes and cakes - the Show more renowned Jimmy Watsons wine bar Readings original bookshop La Mama Theatre and the Nova Cinema are only part of the appetizer on the vast menu provided by Lygon Street and its surrounds.You will find yourself only blocks from Melbourne University RMIT University Royal Melbourne Hospital The Womens Hospital and the new Melbourne Museum set in the serenely beautiful Carlton and Exhibition Gardens adjacent to the World Heritage listed Exhibition Buildings - seat of the first Australian Parliament. The Melbourne Zoo is also only a quick hop away.The Melbourne CBD is only a brisk walk of less than 2 Kms or even a quicker trip on one of our iconic trams.
