Very Very Happy WIth This Accomodation.

Posted Aug 16, 2010
We arrived late in the evening and as reception was closed we used the pre-arranged access process which was so easy to do. Later in the morning we registered with reception who were very friendly and helpful. The property entrance is situated between a couple of shops and its not until you get into the foyer that you realise it is a hotel. The room we had was fantastic with great views of some of the city. It featured an open sitting area, fitted kitchen, two bedrooms, bathroom and all appliances required including washing machine.

Great location and room pitty about the noise

Posted May 31, 2010
Great big spacious apartment with everything you need, very comfortable. However being woken up at 5 am on a Monday morning by recycling trucks emptying 200 wheelie bins from the alleyway down the side of the hotel was not ideal! We stayed on the second floor I would recommend asking for a room much higher up. On the Tuesday and Wednesday we were woken up at 6 am with other activity in the alley way. It was like living in the middle of a construction site. Not what you need when your on holiday.

Good for short stays with no car

This hotel has pros and cons. You really need to make sure you read everything before you book. The Pros - good location just one block from Bourke Street. The room (we stayed in a two bedroom apartment) is very spacious and had full kitchen amenities. The lounge is air conditioned. The Cons - although the hotel states secure parking you have to book this at the time you make the reservation and it is at a cost (it is not free parking). The other option if their carpark is full (which is was when we were there) is to park in a carpark just down the block then get a discounted ticket from the front desk ($25 per exit). There is no free parking on the street nearby except from 7.30pm to 7.30am. The parking meters are $4 an hour. So if you're not aware before hand parking can be quite costly. You also really need to take note of the $300 pre authorisation at check in. I admit I didn't read it and it's posted on both their website and Expedia, but just to reiterate as it was quite a shock for me when I arrived and they froze $300 on my card. Personally I have stayed at other establishments that I think are better value for money. However having said that if you are in Melbourne without a car and are going to use public transport then I think this place would be fine.
