Nice apartments, great location

Posted Apr 15, 2015
Pros: liked location and staff were very helpful. clean rooms
Cons: more covered parking
Location: located close to beach and restaurants and only a short drive into the city
Travelled from the country for a weekend in the city. Staff were friendly upon arrival and we were pleased with the size and cleanliness of the rooms. Also liked the location, close to everything but situated in a quiet street. The only dissapointment was that you could hear people closing doors, turning on taps and flushing toilets above, below and next to our room. Other than that, a very pleasant stay.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Posted Dec 7, 2014
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Good size room. Well equipped for self contained unit. Balcony off lounge. Very clean. Gym. Swimming pool. Car parking.
Cons: The lighting, particularly in the kitchenette and bathroom is very dull. Needs separate airconditioning in bedroom. 1.5% credit card fee be removed.
Location: Plenty of restaurants and a hotel near by. Close to tram into city. Short walk to beach. Easy access to Luna Park.
On entering the hotel you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff. If you choose to pay the bill by credit card expect to pay a 1.5% excess on top of the accommodation rate. The rooms are exceptonally clean and comfortable and a reasonable sized private balcony is off a good sized loungeroom, although if you are on the top floor the balcony does not have a roof covering so is only usable in fine weather. Telephone and internet are available but it is a lot cheaper to use your mobile phone and take your own internet connection via a dongle. The kitchenette is a good size for preparing meals with a 4 hotplate stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The major problem I found was that lighting was so dull in the kitchenette it made meal preparation a little difficult. Also, the lights on the rangehood did not work. The bathroom is well set out and a good size. It contains a washing machine and dryer. The vanity basin is large and very usable. The bedroom was a good size with a window. However, it would have been more comfortable if it was air conditioned as the air conditioning in the lounge doesn't cool the bedroom sufficiently. There is a well equipped gym on the ground floor. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a secure car parking facility. Overall this is a great little hotel to stay in when in Melbourne. Transport by tram is very close and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from just a short walk from the hotel.

Location: Away from it all
Facilities: Good; Value: Great deal; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Very high standard; Within walking distance to many things but away from the noise of major roads.

Pros: Close to all StKilda attractions
Cons: Acees to car park & need to remove the car before booking out with restricted parking in the street outside & only limited undercover parking
Location: close to all StKilda
Facilities: Everyday; Value: Reasonable; Service: Basic; Cleanliness: Faultless; We have previously stayed in rooms with street views and they seemed to be a higher standard room
