Visiting Melbourne to catchup w friendsPosted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Not "glam" but everything you need for a comfortable stay, especially impressed with the daily room service.
The Albany is well located on the edge of the city...just a short tram ride to the city, or Sth Yarra, St Kilda. A quick 5 minute walk to the Shrine, the Tan and the leafy walk along the Yarra into town. Parking available on a first come first serve basis, but OK to park in either Toorak Road or Millswyn Streets. The staff were extremely helpful and polite...great coffee to get started in the mornings...I plan to stay again for the convenience, price and overall pleasant experience !

Great suprise !!!Posted Sep 11, 2014
Pros: location, price
Cons: The older part that we stayed in is being pulled down, so will have to stay in the other part... but that is not happening for another year or so
Great budget motel in an excellent position off Toorak Rd near St Kilda Rd ... just walk down to Domain Rd to excellent eateries (esp Cafe Domain for dinner and My Legendary Girlfriend for breakast)..... staff are happy and helpful... rooms adequate and clean and we even had a view of the Melbourne skyline.... thanks for a lovely and safe stay

Close enough to city centre comfortable placePosted Sep 7, 2014
Pros: Good size rooms, light and cheerful. Rooms opening up to outside.
Cons: fire alarm went off about 4 times during my 3 night stay, mostly in the middle of the night. They said it was people smoking in their room. Not sure..
Location: About 5 mins. from tram another 10 mins to get into the city centre or St. Kilda
Breakfast has reasonable choice of food. It would be good if the restaurant had a bigger choice of dinners, only Indian food available but taste is good.

Cheap, but great place to stay.Posted Aug 28, 2014
Cons: front counter staff, public information
Located on a beautiful st, when i checked in the girl was great, helpful and asked us questions, but during the stay, i asked a guy at the front counter where the closest 7/11 was (as not being from there), he said he didnt understand what i was asking and could not help me, the house keeping team are immaculate, fresh everything everyday, i could not access the pool which was strange but i didnt ask as the same guy was on the counter as previous statement, upon re-packing our bags, to checkout from a weeks stay, we noticed, we were missing a perfume and bracelet, out of all things to go missing. not being the most valuable things we had we didnt bother to complain due to being interstate, but its a very affordable place to stay close to public transport and great access to sth yarra, rod laver, CBD, and, FREE WIFI!!!!

Room facilitiesPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Location was good
Cons: More parking spot required and toilet need to have a tap so people can wash there face in the toilet
Location: Shopping was nearby but not to close
Room facilities wasn't good specially there was no basin in the toilet to wash face or hand , basin was out of the toilet and no tap in the toilet as well.So my me experience wasn't good and i m not staying there in the future and the receiption staff told me she will send me the tax invoice to my email address but i haven't got that either. Also not enough parking spot so i couldn't park my car in the hotel.

Beautiful room, great location!Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The size and style of the room. Very affordable. Great location.
Cons: I always like some information in the rooms - about the hotel, nearby attractions & local eateries.
Location: It was a simple drive into the city - close to everything.
We stayed in the Mansion Suite & it was luxurious - very affordable & clean. The staff were friendly & we will stay here again - I highly recommend this hotel!
