Property Amenities
Two lobby-area kiosks have high-speed Internet access for a rate of AU$2–$5 per 15 minutes' use. High-speed Internet access also is available in the meeting room, which can accommodate 70–80 theatre style and includes audiovisual equipment such as a data projector and screens. Surcharges apply for audiovisual equipment and Internet access, as well as hiring of the room.
Self parking:
AU$5–$15 per 24-hour period; multiple entry. Secure underground parking is in Wilson Car Park under the hotel. Guests need to have a parking voucher validated at the hotel reception.

Rooms
Though simple, the 275 guestrooms are decorated in cheery tones of blues, greens, and soft reds, complemented by modern light-wood furnishings. TVs are set on swivel stands and cable programming includes Foxtel. Wireless Internet access is available (surcharge). Kitchenettes have microwaves, electric kettles for coffee/tea, sinks, dishes, cutlery, and mini-refrigerators. Tiled beige bathrooms include showers.

A daily breakfast is available (surcharge) in the well-lit breakfast room on the main floor. It includes hot and cold cereals, pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages, juices, coffee, and tea. The breakfast room also features a TV and VCR.
The Travelodge does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area, and room service is available from nearby Sopranos bar and restaurant.

Just a few hundred metres from the Yarra River, the Travelodge offers easy access to rowing and canoeing facilities, as well as bicycle-hire venues. A paved riverside path is popular for jogging, and the Royal Botanic Gardens, 1.5 km from the hotel, has a 3.7-km jogging/walking track known as the Tan. The nearest golf course is Albert Park (2 km). The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Albert Park has basketball, volleyball, squash/racquetball, and diving facilities.

“Top Hotel in Top Lage”

“Perfect Southbank location, central in-town location for walking”
This was a great place to stay at a great rate for families on a budget! My sister is disabled and uses a walker, and we were easily able to get to all Southbank locations from here. The hotel staff was very helpful. If we ever get back to Melbourne, this is where we'll stay. We will recommend to all our friends! One thing; the beds are a little stiff, I'm not sure whether softer beds were available, but if you prefer soft mattresses, you might want to inquire in advance.

The service was excellent, and the accomadations very comfortable. Clean and quiet.

The location was perfect - walking bridges across the Yarra to downtown, cafes and shopping, all within a block; the Casino a 10-minute stroll down the quay; and the Arts Complex and Federation Square a pleasant 15-minute walk.
“Travelodge Southbank is ideal”
Room was great with a little microwave, kettle and fridge. Not really a kitchen area - just a sink and draining board as you come in the door Only a 1 minute walk to the Southbank shopping mall and food court where there is a great selection of food. 5 minutes walk to Flinders Station. I would go back there in a minute Small supermarket and a 24 hour convenience store just behind the hotel on City Road bathroom only has a shower, no bath

“A good, well situated hotel”
I stayed here on September 1 - 5, 2006 during my vacation to Melbourne. I arrived at the hotel early around 9 am after a long flight from the U.S. I was able to check-in right away. My room on the 10th floor was functional with no frills as one would expect for a hotel in this class. The room was quite large including the bathroom. It has a nice view overlooking the city. The hotel staff in the lobby were very friendly and helpful. The hotel does have a dining room but I did not dine there. Instead, I choose to eat at the some many restaurants that are within easy walking distance of the hotel. This hotel is in the perfect location for sightseeing.

The friendliest, most helpful staff I've ever encountered. I contacted the front desk and/or housekeeping several times and on all occasions their response was perfect and prompt., ten stars!

This hotel was a gem, a great location, service, room, would recommend it. We were only in Melbourne for 4 days so could not have been any better for us
