“Loved Memphis”
Took Amtrak from New Orleans to Memphis. Hotel Shuttle picked us up at 10pm. Hotel was clean, Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very close to Trolly route, whiched we used to go back and forth to Beal Street. Clean city, food awsome, and cant beat musuc. Loved it! Loved it! Cant wait to go back.
“will definitely stay here again!”
everyone at this hotel was super friendly and very helpful. the room was great, spacious and comfortable. hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable too.
“Crown Plaza just ok”
It was just ok. Only stopped in for the night. Not a big fan of Memphis anyway so that just spilled over into my hotel experience. Nothing was wrong with it, just blah. Oh but I didn't love the $15 self park or $18 valet.

“A Good, Affordable Stay”
I booked this hotel for my boyfriend's birthday. We took a coach bus from St Louis, and the Crowne Plaza was close enough to walk from the bus station. That was a plus! When we checked in, I was asked to sign a paper that said parking was X dollars a day for self parking and X dollars for valet. I didn't have to pay for that, but travelers to the Crowne Plaza should know this before hand. Expect to pay a pretty penny for that. Our hotel room was nice. It looked to be newly renovated. It was clean and had a nice view of the city skyline. The hotel was several blocks from Beale Street, but the shuttle service was a nice leather SUV. The shuttle took us everywhere we wanted to go and back. The driver, Reginald, was very helpful in deciding on restaurants and hot spots to go to. The room also had a fridge, and that was nice since they didn't have a breakfast. The customer service wasn't good, wasn't bad. I got a really good deal from Expedia, and I feel my stay was worth what I paid for it. I would stay there again.
“Crowne Plaza Memphis”
The Crowne Plaza in Memphis is a clean hotel with large rooms and amenities. Staff are super friendly and helpful. It is not too far from the trolley (tram) that takes you down to Beale Street, but the hotel also has a shuttle service which takes you wherever you need to go and will pick you up once you have done.
“A great hotel for a great price :)”
My husband and I were pleased with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the shuttle drivers! They gave excellent advice on places to visit and where to eat. I highly recommend taking the shuttle and asking for advice from the drivers. Also, the trolley was an excellent way to see the city.
“Solid, Convenient stay in Downtown Memphis.”
We booked the Crowne Plaza as an unpublished rate hotel, and in the photographs, it looked very good. The hotel was Clean and not far from many of the attractions in downtown Memphis, however, it is not in the heart of Downtown, and the area it was in was not the greatest (rather unsafe at night, some abandoned buildings nearby and quite a few homeless people, Security in the hotel is rather high for US standards. There is a courtesy SUV shuttle to downtown and the hotel is about a mile away from the Beale St. nightlife. Service was friendly and helpful, and room was clean and modern with nice view of the Memphis skyline, well furnished, nice bathroom and HDTV. I would definitely stay here again on another visit to Memphis.
“Ok for what I paid, but not the usual "Crown" treatment I am used to at this hotel chain.”
Room had no fridge as stated, also had no "regular coffee" just decaf in the room but of course didn't notice until the a.m. However strong coffe was in the lobby in large supply so got a cup on checkup. Overall Ok place to stay.
“Not worth the money”
I paid enough for this room that I should not have to pay an extra to park my own car in their lot. There was only one luggage cart for the entire hotel so I had to make 2 trips to my car to get my suitcases up to the 10th floor. There are only 2 elevators for the hotel so each trip took awhile. They did provide a free shuttle to Beale Street and the driver was very courteous. But you can find less expensive hotels for the equivilent room and service.
