Nice Place

Posted Mar 30, 2014
Pros: Clean/updated
Cons: Steps leading to 2nd floor are cracked and lean forward, was hard for my elderly mother to climb safely
Location: Next door to Graceland. There are no a lot of decent restaurants nearby. Drive a few miles south on Elvis Presley to find a nice assortment.
I was very surprised. I just assumed that since this was a Days Inn and a relatively affordable room for being right next to Graceland, that the place would be a dive. I was pleasantly mistaken! Nice, clean facilities, and a staff that was nothing but helpful. I would have given an across the board 5, except for some cracked steps heading up to the second floor, which is just the motel showing its age.

Overpriced but friendly

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff and clean grounds.
Cons: Need to repair cracked plaster on walls and ceilings. Room had funny smell.
Location: Within walking distance of Graceland and only 15 minutes from downtown Memphis.
We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to Graceland. When I arrived, I was in line and heard the person at the desk inform the guest in front of me that the hotel would be $10 less than the price I paid through Expedia per night. The hotel has Elvis memorabilia everywhere. Upon arriving in my room, the ceiling over the bed was falling apart. The ceiling above the shower had bubbled up and the plaster on the walls in the bathroom was cracked. There was mildew on the caulk around the shower. I had to pass all the smoking rooms to get to my non-smoking room which did not keep me away from the smell. The room had a weird odor to it also. The grounds of this hotel are very clean and the employees are very friendly.

Friendly place needing updating

Posted Mar 11, 2014
Pros: A convenient location near I 55 and across the street from Graceland. Staff was nice and helpful.
Cons: It is an older motel that needs to be remodeled.
Location: It's next to Graceland and 15 minutes from downtown and great BBQ. What else could you want?
Overall OK, but it is an old motel in need of updating on a busy street. We were awakened a few times by ambulances or other emergency vehicles.

Close to Graceland - across the street in fact.

Posted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Graceland and the staff
Cons: A little update to the room would be nice
Location: Graceland of course! Not far from downtown -everyone is friendly.
Stay with Elvis in Memphis - literally Elvis is in the lobby, in photos on the walls of the rooms and the color scheme will take you back in time. Don't forget to ask the front desk staff where to find the best Memphis BBQ and you'll probably find yourself holding hands singing "Dixie" with the other Elvis fans and the impersonator.

Excellent hotel!

Posted Jan 24, 2014
Pros: it was clean and the staff was very friendly
Cons: the continental breakfast was great. there was a variety of things but was missing bagels, bagels would be great!
Location: If your going to Graceland, this is the hotel to stay at. Walking distance to the shops and Graceland is right across the street.
This hotel was awesome! Our room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Being an Elvis fan, I loved all the Elvis decor in the lobby and eating area and the pictures in the rooms. Not disappointed at all!

Close to Graceland

Posted Jan 17, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Friendlier staff.
Location: Graceland, Car Museum, Planes. Plaza (short walk), Downtown Memphis (short drive)
Perfect location for visiting Graceland!!! Graceland, Car Museum, Planes and Plaza (shops, ticket office and some food) all within a very short walk (a couple of minutes). Short drive to Fowntown Memohis if you have a car. Motel style accommodation, clean, comfortable, nothing fancy. Continental breakfast included was ok. Staff could be friendlier - some were great, some were not so great. Wi Fi was down for the first 24 hours and very slow (when able to connect) thereafter. Would consider staying there again next time visiting Graceland mainly due to location.
