A Little Long in the Tooth

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: needs updates - see above
Location: Memphis Redbirds directly across the street and Beale Street is in easy walking distance
Super nice staff - great location - just needs some updates - blinds were broken - pillows are awful - need new mattresses too.

Pleasant hotel, great staff, close to Beale Street

My girlfriend and I stayed there for two days on a long road trip. Pleasant stay, and great staff...oh and did I mention cookies? Within walking distance to Beale Street without all the Beale St. noise! Good access to highway and other attractions. I'd stay again if in the Memphis area.

We All Were Received At Graceland

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: The location of the hotel was excellent along with the attentive staff.
Cons: We noticed that the hotel had a shuttle bus but it would help if it was available to travellers for close excursions.
Location: The hotel was close to Beale Street, the waterfront, tours, Sun Studios, Gibson and good bar-b-q.
Had an excellent time in Memphis for a week. Did the requisite Graceland tour. Souvenirs ACROSS the street from Graceland at Boulevard Souvenirs are much cheaper with a greater variety. LOVED breakfast at The Arcade (sweet potato pancakes and french toast are both awesome choices). Did a Segway tour which I highly recommend (Russell was THE BEST GUIDE EVER!) The Mojo music tour with Kathryn as tour guide/singer was a high point as well.

Comfortable hotel , handy for Beale street

Unfortunately Memphis seems to be suffering a little from city centre urban decay. The authorities are trying to stimulate tourism, but theres not too much to do in the centre.

Memphis Wedding

Everything was great, except parking rate. I don't believe one should have to pay, when I'm already spending $$ to be downtown. Anyway, it's a close walk to Beale St and other stuff DT. They accommodated our need to have a later checkout (by 3 hrs). Very nice place, overall.
