Disappointing

Not a 3 star hotel , although room appeared clean , it seemed very old dated . Bed was very uncomfortable and little things like missing trash can in bath room , broken sink trap were just annoying . I will definitely pay more next time to avoid this hotel .

Only negative was our fairly large group had to have keys "rekeyed" multiple times. Excellent access to the area, save for the highway construction that is ever present around the larger cities.

Wedding trip to Memphis

Pros: Good location for activities in East Memphis.
Cons: The amenities and service level are appropriate for the price.
Location: The Shelby Farms Nature Conservancy is close. The hotel is convenient for the family of patients in the Walnut Grove Baptist Hospital complex.
We are satisfied with our choice of the Hampton Inn. The location was ideal for access to the wedding activities. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations of a continental breakfast. There are no restaurants, other than Wendy's, within walking distance. There are many, though, within a 10 minute drive. The room was reasonably comfortable. The air conditioning was quite noisy. The carpeting always felt damp or wet. Maybe it had just been cleaned.

Nice hotel, feels like home

the staff was wonderful and the hotel was very clean. The room was nice and comfortable. When we stay in Memphis again we will stay here again for sure.

Horrible attitude from staff

Cons: Service needs vast improvement
I checked in, went to my room, and neither of my room keys worked. Had to go back downstairs dragging my luggage, desk clerk "fixed" my keys. One worked, the other didn't. Later that night I parked on the side close to my room, neither key worked in the side door, so I had to walk around the hotel outside to the desk. Again, desk clerk "fixed" my keys. Again, only one worked. Next morning after working out--you guessed it--keys didn't work. I get attitude from new desk clerks because I stated in front of guests checking in that this was my 3rd trip to the desk in less than 18 hours for room key trouble. New desk clerk "fixed" my keys, I went back upstairs and --you guessed it again--neither key worked. I went BACK DOWNSTAIRS very irate but calm and said ":This is the 4th time my keys haven't worked in less than a day". One clerk stormed out from behind the desk and said rudely "Meet me at your room". He got into the room, I packed up (by the way, the room hadn't even been cleaned), and demanded a refund. He said "I don't have your money, Expedia does, call them". I did, and Expedia supposedly processed my refund. NOT EVEN ONE "I'M SORRY FOR YOUR TROUBLE" from even one desk clerk--I got nothing but attitude.

Loud and old

Having just stayed in another Hampton Inn in NJ two weeks before, it was striking to see the difference in quality. Everything about this room felt outdated and in need of improvement. The light, the bathroom, the huge creases in the doors. We could hear everything in the hallway and in our neighbors room. Definitely would not stay here again!

Not our first or last stay

This hotel is nice. There is nothing that I could complain about at all...The staff is always friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is in a nicer part of Memphis so it seems safe. It's located in a business area. Don't visit the gas station closest to the hotel....everything was so expensive! Like unbelievably expensive.

During my over night stay I awakened to take a shower and the by water was not working. I was unable to leave the hotel for 6 hours due the problem.
