Near east Memphis hotel.Posted Nov 30, 2013
Pros: Convenience to mid town Memphis and value.
Cons: Room temp was hard to control and overall was very dry.
Location: All areas to east and Germantown very easy to get to. Midtown areas within 15 minutes.
Having stayed several times at this hotel when visiting family, this Hampton Inn is a good value with relatively close proximity to midtown Memphis. Hotel is clean and quiet with staff helpful and courteous.

I'm a regular at this hotelPosted Nov 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
We have stayed here many times in the past 5 years and generally always have a good experience. The only problem this time was the temperature of the room -- the thermostat on the heating/cooling unit was being very temperamental.

Hotel was clean and in a great location. Delicious BBQ place right across the street. Staff was friendly. Room was clean with the exception of the bathroom. There was a used bar of soap in the shower with hair on it. I guess the cleaning crew overlooked it. Other than that everything was good.

Clean and safe!Posted Oct 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
I went with my girlfriend to stay the night after we attended a concert in downtown Memphis. We felt like it was a safe area and the rooms were extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and considerate. The breakfast room is a little small, but great food options and lots of coffee. We will definitely be going back.

Conveniently located, but thin wallsPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: location, staff
Older hotel in east Memphis. The walls are very thin. You can hear ordinary phone conversations in the adjoining rooms. Screaming tottler was next door to me one early morning. Staff is very nice and friendly. Breakfasts are modest. Coffee seems to be robusto...like Folgers or similar. The location is good. Trains can be heard from where I stayed, but they were not disturbing at all.
