“Wonderful evening”

When I walked in I could tell that I was going to be happy with this hotel. The foyer was so professional, yet comfortable looking. The assistant was there ready to greet me and welcome me and I had no wait at all getting checked in and directed to my room. I liked that there was not only a 24 hour food service one could access, but also a free buffet breakfast included in the fee. All of the employees were so friendly, not only greeting me, but also asking about my health and if I needed anything. ONe thing I really liked that I have not found in some hotels was the convenient parking near my room. I did not have to give my car to a valet or pay a person to bring in my bags. I prefer to do that myself. And I liked that the rooms open to the inside rather than the outside.

Area recommendations

I actually would recommend the area in which the hotel is located. It is located within a safe part of town in the midst of a lot of fine stores, restaurants and other services.

Dining

This hotel is located no more than 50 steps from one of the best seafood places in the area, and across the street from a great Mexican place. I enjoyed breakfast in the hotel.

“Not so great”

This hotel is looking a little tired. My room had no towels and the finish on the bathroom door was all chipped. The AC was so loud I had to turn it off. Finally there was a huge mirror placed outside the shower and given how small the bathroom was you had to leave the door open. Not the best view.

“Can't wait to go back”

“Great location for shopping at Castleton”

Kind of mildly funky, modern decor but clean, quiet, excellent ambience in lobby area. Check in was very easy and the desk person offered a tour! And we looked pretty road-weary after 10 hours of driving but the courtesies were surprisingly professional and sincere. A fire alarm scared us out in a jiff but the manager greeted everyone on ground floor and apologized for the false alarm.

Getting around

Was a bit tricky to get to---at the far side of a Home Depot parking lot.

Wolfchase Galleria is excellent.

“Can't wait to go back”

Everything was perfect except we couldn't enjoy the beautiful pool because it doesn't open until Memorial Day.

“Will never return! Stay away if you OWN a Ford, GMC, or Chevy!!!”

The hotel and room were great.. We are very upset with the fact that during the night someone TRIED to BREAK into OUR TRUCK!! I greatful they didnt get in, but not happy with what I have to pay to get it fixed!! We were told that in that area the easiest cars to break into are FORD, Chevy and GMC.. We will NOT be back there to in Memphis ever :( Also the breakfast was horrible!

“Must Stay for Couples!!!”

Really liked the hotel and it was next to the mall, great restaurants, shopping stores. Not too far from downtown and Beale Street, like 10-15 mins (pending traffic). Will probably stay there every time I go to Memphis.

“Nice location for Memphis.”

If you have never visited Memphis before, this hotel and location is ideal. Everything about the hotel exceeded my expectations. I would return.

Area recommendations

Bartlett is one of the better neighborhoods of Memphis (of which there are few). There are plenty of retail stores and restaurants nearby and it is a short drive to downtown and the river.
