“Memphis and the Madison Yea!!!!!”

So wonderful, words cannot describe. After my horrible experience in Nashville I was at home in Memphis and would go back again and again.

“Very pleased!”

My boyfriend and I recently took a rather lengthy road trip and this was the final hotel we stayed in, and we wish we could have stayed here the entire time. Granted, it was a splurge night for us. The valet was awesome. The front desk was very informative upon check in. The lobby was clean, the elevator ran smooth and really quick considering that it's a 16 story building! We didn't get there until around 9pm, and the turn down service already happened. We walked in to a lit room with the radio on, the bed turned down with chocolates on the pillows :) They were hosting a roof top event with a band, drinks, and small plates that was no cover for hotel guests. It's a beautiful view up there! Our room had a separate shower and tub. The tub was awesomely deep! Which was helpful for soaking since we walked 37 miles in 6 days. Oh, and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. I have long hair and was having a hard time washing and rinsing it at all the other places we stayed at. The mini-fridge was stocked with goodies, which meant no room for anything we wanted to add to it, but I guess they figure if you're willing to drop that kind of money for a room that you wouldn't be the type to bring your own drinks and food :) oh well!

“Would stay here again.”

Beautiful hotel. Extremely friendly staff. My first time in Memphis and the staff was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction of some delicious BBQ and nightlife. The bartender, Orlando, was super nice and funny. We could've stayed at his bar all night chatting it up with him!

“Enjoyable stay”

The Madison is a beautifully restored, historic hotel in a great location in downtown Memphis, within walking distance of several very nice restaurants, the trolley, Beale Street, the Peabody, and the Orpheum, to name a few. There is a rooftop bar area with a spectacular view of the city and a very nice heated pool in the basement. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and courteous, from the valet parkers to the bellmen to the kitchen staff to the administrative staff. They answered any questions we had, not only about the hotel but about the city of Memphis as well! We loved the grand piano in the lobby, and our daughters, both pianists, were encouraged to perform on it. The ONLY negative thing was the sullen attitude of the receptionist at the front desk, Clayton. However, everything else was top-notch, and I would certainly recommend this hotel to others looking for a luxurious, full-service hotel.

“Slightly overpriced but very nice!”

This hotel was great, but it was slightly overpriced. The room was very nice but I'm not sure if It was worth it. Also, I didn't like how there was absolutley nowhere for us to park without having to walk a few blocks with our luggage. We decided to do Valet parking because it seemed like the only feasible option. The hotel was VERY nice though, especially the gym and pool. The bar was nice as well with great happy hour deals! I don't reccomed eating in the restaurant for breakfast though because I had a small, average tasting omlet for $14! That's insane. The location was great and there is a trolley less than a block away that can take you all over downtown. The trolley is $1 per ride or $3.50 for a day pass that lasts until 11:59
