Great location. Clean and central.

Only disappointment was the internet which didn't work well, we couldn't connect more than one device, and it didn't work at all on our final day, even though we weren't checking out until 12.

So close to excellent, but missed on the basics

Posted Oct 10, 2014
The hotel is beautiful, in a great location, terrific roof deck lounge, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. However... We had a 6am flight that required us to leave at 4:30am on check-out day. When we woke, we realized that housekeeping had not left any coffee pods for the machine and, even after 10 minutes of continuous running, there was no hot water for a shower. A rude awakening to say the least. I'd also add that the front desk seemed understaffed (long waits, sometimes unmanned for 5 minutes at a time), and the wait staff on the roof deck was a bit indifferent to their clientele (long waits, indifferent attitudes). Get these basics right, and it's probably one of the best hotels in Memphis.

Beautiful Hotel in downtown Memphis

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: Location to downtown sights: Beale Street, good restaurant in the hotel as well as around the area. The Twilight Lounge is an surprise bonus!!
Cons: Would be hard to control, but I heard door slamming late every night. I do not know if it was staff or another client, but that was annoying.
Location: Ten minutes walk from Beale Street, surrounded by good restaurants, Rock & Soul Museum, Gibson factory & much more! Walgreens was across the street.
Ultra comfortable and clean, super friendly staff, excellent menu. I enjoyed my stay there very much.

It's a keeper!

We try to always stay at the Peabody when in Memphis due to its location down town. We found the Madison to be even more enjoyable in almost every way. We will try to stay there on our next trip to Memphis for sure. Can't find anything we didn't like about it! Thank you for your hospitality. See you next time. Bob and Faris Phillips

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Memphis

Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Hotel is excellent
Location: Tucked away in a quiet part of the city but only 8 min walk from Beale street
Would recommend the hotel unreservedly. Nice quiet area but only 8 minutes walk from Beale Street. Sun City Studios runs a free bus in the city to Sun City and Graceland.and back to the city centre Visit to Stax and National Human Rights Museum a must (keep the stubs of your tickets from Graceland and Sun Studios to earn a good discount at Stax

Very nice!

The madison is an extremely nice hotel. The only problem I had was at the front desk. Several times in the evening and at night we had to hunt someone down for help. If trying to go somewhere and need you car you might be waiting a while. And when I asked for a breakdown of this checkout bill because there was a 300 dollar incidental on my credit card I recieve a bit of attitude and I tell you paying 700 for two nights I don't expect attitude from anyone. Other than that it was a nice stay.

Perfect for activities downtown

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The beauty of it, and the atmosphere. The competency of the staff. It's convenience for downtown attractions and restaurants.
Cons: Better access to the rooftop at night for guests simply wanting a drink and to enjoy the view. I wish I knew what that view was like at night.
Location: Autozone Park, Beale St., great restaurants, Mud Island, shopping--all close enough to make a simple walk.
The staff was very welcoming at check in. They were competent and went above and beyond . Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooms were updated and had all that was required. On our second night there was a noise problem in the room across from ours. When reported the staff responded, but the noise continued. That was not a good night for sleep . I loved the view from the top of the building, but unfortunately, a party was on the top of the building when we returned from our ballgame, and the cover charge and loud noise drove us back to our rooms.
