“Very Dissatisfied Hotel Guru”

From the onset of this stay I was met with an awful odor, old fashiion dirty furniture in the lobby, a dishoveled employee, and a small roach on my bed. We got another room which was better but not what was expected as I stay at hotel frequently!!!!! The sister hotel next door which is owned by the same owner offers a pool and wi-fi that works (our wifi offered at this hotel didn't work and neither did the computer in the lobby)!! Don't do it!!!!!!!!!!

“Will not return”

The cont. breakfast was awful! There was cereal but no bowls or milk for the cereal, there were no danishes or fruits. So basically the only thing they offer you is dry cereal. There was also hair all over the floor in the bathroom. Check out took a while. Employee must have been late because someone seemed to be yelling at him on the phone. We had to listen to the whole conversation while waiting to checking out. Not very professional.

“Needs major cleaning - PERIOD!”

There is very limited parking. Two hotels share one small parking area. The carpets are extremely dirty throughout the hotel. The elevator stopped working for a period of time. The manager left the hotel during a critical check-out time in the morning hours. The breakfast buffet ran out of food and the young man on duty (not the manager) did not have keys to the room where food was stored. I guess you get what you pay for and with the bargain fare we got a filty place to stay. I would never stay here again without the place having a major cleaning. The night desk clerk was very blunt but probably doing the best she could without further comments.

“Good for the price”

The overall stay was nice. Staff was efficient and the room was ready. Great place to stay for just a night. The only problems that we had were that the towels were all stained and there wasn't a comforter on the bed. However, I would stay again if I was in town for a night or two. Would not recommend staying for more than one night simply because the hotel was just basic. Great for the price though!

Area recommendations

Love the Germantown area for families. It's always nice to visit the other historic areas of Memphis for a day, such as the Zoo, Mud Island, and the Peabody. However, Germantown is such a lovely place to stay for the night. It's a very clean and safe district with great shopping and restaurants.

When to go

September: The fall concerts are great, the air is less humid, there's great back to school shopping, and the great Germantown area annual yard sale!

“Average Experience”

Overall the hotel was average. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable, but pretty small. The continental breakfast was limited at best with minimal choices. The biggest drawback would be the interstate noise, well at least on our side of the hotel. I would stay there again without hesitation. Very safe area.

Area recommendations

I would definitely recommend the Germantown area of Memphis. It's close to many restaurants and lots of shopping. It's a very safe area as well.

“After a long day of driving, what a wonderful place to arrive”

We traveled from Pittsburgh to Texas and this was our overnight stop. The front desk rep was extremely helpful and efficient, friendly and open. The room was clean and well updated. The hotel is behind the Wolfchase Galleria and the location was easy to find; directly off I-40. Felt very safe in the area. The next morn the entire staff was again friendly and engaging. Upon departure I noted a nice gazebo area in the parking lot; guests looked very relaxed and content in the area.

“Great Hotel for the price”

Great clean hotel for the price. Staff was very very helpful and nice. comfortable beds Breakfast was the usual continental, pasteries, cereal, waffles, oatmeal juice and coffee. Very close to many restaurants and shopping. Located right off the I 40 freeway. I would definitely stay there again!

cordova, germantown are both nice areas
