Some of the most friendly staff we've ever had.

Pros: The pull out sofa option. Perfect for our family of 5. The breakfast was much better than most.
Cons: Daily parking fee adds up pretty quick, including parking fees would be nice, but it was competitive for the area.
Location: The location is great, central to everything: Beale Street, Mud Island, freeway access, etc.
Maybe it's just being in Tennessee, but compared to what we're used to, the staff at this hotel were among the friendliest we've ever had. The breakfast was really good, big variety, constant re-stocking to keep things full and fresh, and everything tasted great. The parking valets were great for tourist suggestions, where to eat, etc. When they said "welcome" or "did you have a nice time," it felt sincere. When I needed a stamp to send a postcard when we checked out, the front desk didn't have any, but one of the gals gave me one from her own purse! That must be an example of what they mean by "Southern hospitality." We were very impressed with Tennessee in general, and this hotel was no exception. A great way to start our trip.

Hotel is in a great downtown location

Good location with OK service, a few of our issues were not handled (TV not working). Room was nice but there was mold in the bathroom!

Basic Hotel; Basic Stay

This hotel is pretty average. Our toilet backed up overnight and we had to wait until the maintenance staff arrived the next morning to have to functional again. The breakfast is pretty plain jane, if edible. We were traveling with our two kids, so we really just needed some breakfast grub to get us going, but they complained about the breakfast quite a bit. The room was comfortable and the hotel was close to Beale Street. So, if you're looking for a clean hotel that is close to everything, this may be your place. Just don't expect a lot.

Too much noise

the noise was unbearable. I was on the second floor outside of the bus terminal at every morning someone was cutting grass at 8 a.m. . Plus,most of the food options within walking distance aren't very good. The gym was really nice

Pros: The People
Location: Close enough to walk to Beale Street and the River if you're inclined, but with a car some much more opens up for you like Stax, Sun Studios, etc
A very good room, in a great location for Memphis, easily walkable to much of the downtown area. But the highlight was the people. From the valet to the cleaning staff to the front desk every single person was friendly. Not just "hi" friendly but asking about how our trip was going, "did you enjoy seeing...", making conversation. The people are what made the stay here worth it.
