The PeabodyPosted Feb 16, 2015
Location: Beale Street
Booking through Expedia did not guarantee the room we booked. We book a king room and ended up with two double beds.

Beautiful old hotel for Memphis weekendPosted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: Lovely lobby is a lively experience
Cons: cannot think of a thing!
Location: Beale Street food, music, athletics, theatre - all in walking distance
Entering the Lobby allows one to step back a few decades to a place of elegance. Of course the duck parade is unique. I enjoyed sharing the experience with my four grown children (ages 20 to 27). But I could envision a wonderful time with a partner.

People were rude. Staff was zero help of times ofnPosted Feb 16, 2015
Awful. Awful. Awful. Capriccio grill person was the rudest. It was 1010 am when got to grill. He told us breakfast was over and setting up for brunch. Then he walked away. He didn't give us options to sit and wait or come back a little later. None, just walked away. Then on check out I asked concierge on where I could fill out customer survey. Her only response was "online." Zero help again. I've been to Peabody many times and had some great memories but this was last time. I don't have to leave my town to find people that are rude and unhelpful.

Very disappointing.Posted Feb 16, 2015
Pros: the ducks
Cons: customer service, valet, food and drink prices. it cost my husband and i $67 for breakfast.
Location: beale street was great
We arrived at the hotel early (about 11:00) so they let us check in. we booked through expedia so even though I requested a Superior Room with 1 King bed, that is not what we got. We got a tiny room with 2 double beds. Very romantic Valentine's weekend!!!! especially with the return air vent falling out of the ceiling and big chunks of paint chipping off in the bathroom. the manager of the hotel said that was all she could give us since we booked through expedia (3rd Party) as she kept saying....over and over. The staff were rude, treated us as if we weren't good enough to be there. the food and the drinks were entirely over priced. the valet was a joke. we waited 47 minutes for someone to go get out car. Oh and the ducks. they were precious. but sunday morning when were leaving as I waited on my husband to check us out, i took a seat at the bar. the bartender comes over to me to ask what i would like to drink, i told him it was 9:30 in the morning. when i responded and told him that i didn't want anything, he then told me that i would have to move so paying customers could set down. it was just completely ridiculous. they are a far cry from a 4 or 5 star. in my book 1 or 1-1/2 star!

DisappointingPosted Jan 28, 2015
Pros: The room was beautiful and clean.
Cons: Parking. Elavators.
Location: Memphis Zoo. Mud Island. Graceland. Beale Street. National Civil Rights Museum. Pink Palace. Fire Museum.
The parking we had to pay extra for was literally blockes away, up and down stairs and elevators in parking garages you would have to experence it to believe it. And they left our luggage down in the lobby for hours until we finally had to call for it. Also getting on the elevator to get to our room took forever.

Very Nice HotelPosted Jan 26, 2015
Pros: the history, and architecture was what we liked the best. Oh and the ducks.
Cons: the only thing I didn't like is we booked the room on expedia and we had to pay an extra $50 in order to get a single king. which is what I booked.
Location: Good food and Great music on Beale St
Our stay at the Peabody was amazing to say the least. The hotel staff was very polite and went out of the way to help us. The history surrounded by this hotel was more than I thought it was quite indulging. The ducks and the tour were both very enjoying.
