Nice but a bit too pricey for what they offer

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Service was great, people were nice, bathrooms were wonderful
Cons: Service advertised could actually be provided without having to request it
Location: Right off Beale Street, location was perfect, easy into and out off
While the Westin was nice and the rooms were good [the bathrooms are Wonderful] there are cheaper hotels just as well located that are just as nice. The staff were very nice when approached and helpful, but nothing special.Key cards were supposed to be needed in the elevators but we never once had to use it to access any floor.

During a one night stay in Memphis the Westin was located perfectly to enjoy Beale Street, Fed Ex arena & the Gibson Guitar Factory. The hotel staff were excellent and accommodations perfect.

Excellent Location - - Just off Beale Street

Cons: The quality of the room service food was sub standard. We ordered a Med-Well burger and the burger was burnt to a crisp.
Location: Great BBQ just a 1/2 block away!
Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was AWESOME

Great location, Beale Street one block away!

Pros: It was cool that you can rent New Balance work out clothes for $5.00 during your stay, and they have a case of Gibson guitars that you borrow!
Location: Museum of Rock and Soul!
Fantastic trip!! The Civil Rights Museum was powerful. (Central BBQ across the street has great food) So much music history!! Go to the Rock and Soul Museum and the Sun Studios tour. Beale Street offered a variety of great Blues at several places. We went to the Memphis Zoo which was very nice. But I must say the highlight of the trip for me was going to Rev. Al Green's church, Full Gospel Tabernacle and hearing him preach and sing! After seeing him twice in concert, it was amazing to see him!

Great hotel! Just steps from Beale Street!

Pros: Friendly staff, location
Location: Beale Street, restaurants, museums, night life
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the location could not have been better, and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! We've decided Memphis is our new favorite "weekend getaway" city and this hotel played a large part. Thanks so much!

Late Check In

Posted Feb 10, 2015
We arrived after a 4 hour drive at 3:30pm. Check in at 3pm, but no King Rooms available. Was told that it would be a few minutes. When I said we had dinner plans and I wanted to freshen up before, I was offered the public bathroom. We waited in the lounge for a half hour went up at 4pm and asked for a realistic time for check in. Then told 5:30pm before they could get us in a room. I paid $200 plus dollars to get ready for our night out in Memphis in a public bathroom. Never did they offer anything to make up for this "situation". They cited since I prepaid there was nothing they could do. Unreal. The hotel was nice, but this was not handled well. And I won't go back. There are too many other options in that location.

Pros: We had some issues with the mini bar and they fixed it no problem!
We stayed here for its proximity to the grizzlies game and it was great!
