Cons: Upgrade / remodel the rooms. Replace old TV's with modern flat screen models.
I felt that the room was over-priced for the amenities provided. There is no swimming pool and no continental breakfast offered.

good times past

Pros: inn keeper was pleasant
they have tried to make a silk purse out of a sows ear by doing some up dates. however it is a very old pig making meaningful updates difficult.

look elsewhere...

Posted Jul 25, 2015
This is a very neglected "hotel" with zero front desk support. They never answered the phones in 2 days. Uncomfortable mattress, given wrong room because we checked in late in the evening yet the room was already guaranteed. I could go on but I suggest you look elsewhere. Very disappointing and overpriced.

Ok,, for a highway motor-lodge, from the 60's

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Staff
Cons: Everything! Start from scratch, full tear-down and rebuild! There is a limit as to how much interior decorating and exterior paint can hide!
Location: Not the best location, somewhat of a drive to any of the popular spots in Ft Bragg.
Almost passed the place up while I was looking for it. It definitely was NOT what I was expecting, and I agree with the other reviewers, the outside photo on Expedia is very misleading. This is a straight-up 60's style motel, and definitely not worth the $300/night charge. Would be okay for maybe $100. Room was "okay", again, from a motor-lodge perspective, fairly clean,, but one has to wonder how close to the surface the real "dirt & grime" lay. Room smelled moldy, some hair on the Egyptian sheets,, sink didn't drain properly and I had to repair it myself,, the view from the bathroom window was an overgrown, junk yard,, There seemed to be a perpetual family picnic/bbq event on the hotel grounds, very near our room, with dirty clothes/laundry spread out on ropes between trees,, looked like a freeway homeless camp :( Although to room was non-smoking, there were ashcans, outside by the door full of cigarette butts. Not something I want to see as a non-smoker. Having said that, The owner was extremely pleasant & friendly, and to be fair, she noticed at the onset that I was uncomfortable with the room and did offer me a refund. However since it was already late on a Saturday afternoon, my prospects of finding a room were slim to none. Again, EXTREMELY over-priced! With taxes, I paid over $320 for one night.

I booked this hotel at last minute and there were not too many options, and I'd embark in a roadtrip. The staff is great, I arrived late, there wasn't any open restaurants, and they got me some food when kitchen was even closed. Staff is about the only good thing they have. The room is old, sheets were so wrinckled they were clearly not washed, you can hear everything in next room, outside and on the road. Some people decided to be talking at the patio until 3 AM.

Decent hotel

Walls are paper thin and the "fireplace" infrared heat is okay at best. Overall, it was a place to sleep, but my wife and I would not stay there again

Close to Fort Bragg.

The place was hard to find as the name or billboard was not updated. The staff was nice and gave lots of info about the area. Rooms are on the old side but typical of a beach town motel. Room was roomy but not as clean as I was just expecting for the price.

Noisy small room priced too high

Posted Feb 19, 2015
From the change in price when I arrived (not what Expedia had listed) to the lack of sleep that I lost over my two night stay, I was more than looking forward to going home. The noise that you can hear from your neighbors was like there were curtains and not walls. The mini fridge, heater and bedside lamp were all very noisy when they were on. The shower head was so awful that the water came out as a spray and not a stream, and so low on the wall that I had to bend down uncomfortably far to wash my hair. The back field to walk my dog was just shy of a dump site and the hot tub was not suitable for soaking the first night I was there.

Close to the beach but not a nice place to stay

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Paid $250 a night and when we got there as soon as we parked the outside is outdated and thought maybe the rooms are cute and clean.. But it felt gross to sleep in the bed.. The bathroom is yucky too.. We left after one night even though we had paid for two, just wanted to sleep in a more comfortable place than this..
