Pleasantly surprised.

Pros: I personally liked the hotel grounds because they have a beautiful garden which I enjoyed.
Cons: Their breakfast was okay. I think they could improve on their breakfast menu by adding bacon, pancakes, and fresh cut fruit.
Location: The hotel is located in a secluded area, away from shopping. The is hotel is perfect for small weddings and quiet get aways.
I was offered a last minute deal and knew very little about the Hill House Hotel, but I was very happy with the location and the view from the hotel. The room was nice and big. It had a sliding door that lead to garden area. I would stay there again.

Wonderful area! Walked into town in less than 5 minutes. Staff were great. Breakfast is very minimal - they were out of hard-boiled eggs when we were there but we went into town at GoodLife Cafe and Bakery. It was packed for good reason!

Quaint hotel with lovely ocean views!

Posted Jul 15, 2015
We really enjoyed our stay here...the setting is beautiful and the ocean views are gorgeous. Our room was very spacious with comfortable bed and furnishings along with a large deck. The staff were very nice and a continental breakfast is available daily at no charge. It is about a 5 minute walk into town and a 5-minute drive to the Russian Gulch state park which is AMAZING!

Cons: continental breakfast is a joke;extremely uninspiring
Very nice corner room with cross ventilation which is rare in hotel. Vintage furniture was interesting. Need to take care walking short distance to town which is on main road that doesn't have sidewalks.

Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: loved the old charm
Cons: new owner is doing gradual upgrades - hope they keep the old charm
Location: up on the hill within walking distance of the shopping town
CHARGED by Expedia and also charged by the hotel with a $100 difference - hotel did not have my Expedia booking for some reason

Hill House.

Breakfast did not have anything hot. No wi-Fi. Bar and restaurant were both closed. Staff kept wanting to send us to their sister hotel with a 10% off certificate.
