Good Option in Mendocino

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was a little skimpy.

Breakfast

Posted Mar 27, 2014
Pros: Great Location
Cons: The room is very, very small
Location: Everything is a short walk from the inn: restaurants, beach, grocery store
We had a better than expected breakfast, but they do not begin serving until 8:30.

New Year's Anniversary

Posted Jan 7, 2014 on Hotels.com
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at the Nicholson House Inn in the Enchanted Forest room. We had lovely stay. The room was larger than online images indicated and the bath had a great shower. Caution; the commode is tucked under a dormer and was a bit of a challenge for my 6'3" husband. The innkeepers and staff were courteous and helpful; offering maps, directions and information on local sites. Our room was clean and ready when we arrived. The Nicholson Inn is right next door to two popular restaurants (955 Ukiah St., which we loved and Café Beaujolais). It is an easy walk to other restaurants, shops, markets and the headlands. We did not find noise to be an issue. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful, healthy and yummy. Offerings during our stay included homemade scones and muffins, fresh berries, bagels, English muffins, toast, hard boiled eggs, sliced ham, turkey, cheese, a variety of juices, yogurt, cereals, teas, coffee and milk.

Great location - very comfortable!

Great in-town location. Small room but the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time. Soft, thick sheets, blankets, and towels. Very quiet, except for trash pick-up on Sat morning. Only inconvenience was that the water was shut off for a couple of hours in the afternoon - not sure why.

Cons: We had the sense that people had not stayed there much. The towels in the bathroom were not fresh...things seemed dusty.
Location: Mendocino was a great little town to visit.
