Rundown and old

Posted Apr 19, 2014
Pros: access to beach is easy. Just 5 min walk and you are in the beach. Staff are very friendly and cooperative.
Cons: Improve the facility.
Location: Visit Beaches
Good: access to beach is easy. Just 5 min walk and you are in the beach. Bad: The hotel facility is very run down. They did not spend anything on updating the facility. Beach view rooms have no beach view. TV is a 14 inch picture tube TV (very old) Breakfast is in the lobby which is very small and hard for more than 2 people to have it at a time.

Super Relaxing Weekend

Posted Mar 18, 2014
Pros: The price was appropriate, the staff was responsive, the location and the grounds are beautiful and well groomed.
Cons: An updating remodel would be good. There is no cell service or internet access either, but that was why we chose it, we wanted to disconnect.
Location: Located outside of town so no hustle and bustle going on. It has it's own beautiful ocean beach and Fort Bragg is a quaint little whale watching town
The grounds were wonderful and the beach access was down a short and easy trail. We left feeling refreshed and revived from our stay. The room was old and outdated, but the bed was really comfortable and clean and we had all the amenities, including mini fridge and microwave. Continental Breakfast was the bare minimum, no extras just bananas, toast, bagel and cold cereal, but it did the job. We will be going back again, we had a great time.

You get what you pay for

Location was fine but the whole establishment was pretty old. Our room reeked of old motel smell which was a big turn off for us. The TV was really old and small and could barely see it while sitting at the top of the bed. The private beach was a nice bonus though. It might be worth shelling out the extra 30 or 40 bucks for a nicer room.

Will never come back

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Hotel clerks were rude, no cell service on top of that wifi was too weak to connect to any of my devices, walked into room and it smelt of smoke it was terrible. I didn't even stay! Got my daughters and my stuff and checked into the super 8 instead. Will never come back to this place!

Pleasant stay at pine beach inn

Posted Mar 1, 2014
Pros: Beach access
Cons: Upgrades to bathroom, bedding, tv,
This place has so much potential for being a great place to return to. With a few upgrades, we would return. We were fortunate the place was not busy, one night a room was occupied a few rooms away and we could hear conversation in the other room. The private beach access was awesome. The rooms with an ocean view were much more desirable and more spacious than the rooms with two beds. No hi-def tv, which was disappointing, as one day of our stay was rainy and we spent more time in our room that evening. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Thai restaurant on the premises was not very good. Overall we would return during slow times.

quaint little get away with private beach access

Posted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: remote location feel with being on a couple miles outside of town. the adjacent restaurant was pretty good as well.
Cons: pics/descriptions of rooms online. ability to book suites online.
Location: access to private cove is nice, just down the road from jug handle park, the botanical gardens and everything the mendocino coast has to offer.
we picked the pine beach inn for it's lack of cell service. some may find that as a negative, but we were really trying to get away from life for a bit. it's an older hotel and it shows, but it was still nice and comfortable. modern is not a word i would use to describe it. we booked a single king bed and were surprised to find that the room was more like a mini suite. there was a smaller double bed when first entering and then a separate bedroom with lockable door which had the king bed/tv. the beach is close by and it's easy access to get down into the sand.

We did not even stay.

Posted Feb 17, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything.
Location: The ocean, parks etc.
When we drove onto the property it was deserted, there were absolutely NO CARS OR PEOPLE around. It had a very bad feeling, and looked run down and not maintained. We looked for 5 minutes to find the office, and cancelled our reservation. The room was not even seen. It just had a very bad feeling about it. It also was checkin time of 3pm on Valentine's Day, should have been packed with people.

Nice hotel, comfortable, clean

Posted Feb 10, 2014
Nice hotel, has it's own beach access, Thai restaurant on site, clean, very comfortable beds, our room had a deck with table. Would highly recommend! Only problem was no cell coverage til I drove in to town. Kind of a pain, but otherwise wonderful!
