Great hotel near Glass Beach!Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Attention to details, room lay-out, location!
And 10-15 min. ride from Mendocino. This hotel has extremely comfortable mattresses, big room and they've thought of everything: even little sundries like makeup remover towelettes, nail file and sewing kits. Plush towels, good coffee, and inexpensive off-season rates. Staff was extremely cordial, welcoming and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly reco for northern CA stays!

Good room for the pricePosted Dec 9, 2014
Pros: Nice staff, clean room, comfortable bed, good price.
Cons: Better lighting in the shower area, better shower head, more water pressure. Update décor. More accurate description of room (no garden view.)
Location: Just North of Fort Bragg, close to beaches with restaurants being 5-10 minutes away.
Very nice hotel staff. The décor is outdated but the hotel has been maintained and is very clean. The room we had was large and had a comfortable bed and updated bedding. The lighting in the shower area was very dim but the sink and mirror was outside of the main bath so it worked out ok. We booked a "garden king"... there was no real garden, it overlooked the parking lot. They need to just advertise it as a king room so people don't expect more. Overall, it was a really good value for the price! We will stay again.

Nice hotel for the money.Posted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: I liked the views and location.
Cons: I have a sensitive nose, but could definitely detect an odor of urine in the bathroom.
Location: Glass beach is just down the street and around the corner. There are also a lot of shops and cafes just a few blocks away.
This is a very decent hotel with close proximity to town and the beaches. The room has a balcony with estuary views. It does not have an updated bathroom or flat screen t.v., but that is reflected in the price. I would recommend it.

Close to the beach.Posted Nov 29, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, close to the beach and downtown area.
Cons: The mothball smell.
Location: I highly recommend going to Northern Brewery's restaurant. The food and beer were both fantastic. For breakfast try out Eggheads.
Overall, not a bad place to stay. The only drawback was that the room had a funky moth ball smell.

Good location.Posted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: They have a sister property across the street that was available for breakfast.
I booked a room on expedia but when we checked in that room was not available. We were upgraded to partial ocean view . It was nice but really wanted a fireplace and soaking tub.

Beautiful view of Pudding CreekPosted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Very clean, relaxing environment with friendly staff. Accommodating with pets which was a real plus for me. No residual odors from previous pets.
Cons: Pick up the entire building and move in across the road to the beach front. lol
Location: Hiking, biking, horseback riding, camping, surfing, abalone diving, kayaking...or just hanging out on the shore, reading.
Just a little walk across the road from the beach access near the trestle bridge. I was wanting a quiet vacation where I could run with my little dog and rent a bike for a few days. The weather was perfect in the 70's, and the views combined with the wildlife sounds coming from Pudding Creek were just exceptional. I felt quite secure leaving my sliding door to the balcony open all day and through the night. My room was very comfortable and in pristine condition. Each day it was completely clean when I returned from my daily run. My visit was during the off season, so crowds were light, and the entire hotel was very quiet. I was in a downstairs room in building #4, which was perfect as it is not right out over the highway. I would recommend asking for rooms in blds. 1-4 as they are the best locations for limited traffic noise.

Just one night, short weekend with the sistersPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: price, and location
Cons: Beds were a bit hard. A family with young children with NO bedtime were above one of our rooms. The sound was very loud
Rooms were very clean, very close to a very nice beach with easy access.

Nice place!!!Posted Oct 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
The fact that I wan in town on business did not stop me from enjoying this great hotel. The view was great and the soak tub was well needed. I just wish they had a place to eat in the hotel. That would have made it my stay even better!!!
