very comfortable quaint mountian inn has the real Vermont feeling
“Wonderful Inn, fantastic service”
The Inn keeper, Tim, was so kind and helpful. They accommodated any need we had. As we happened to be the only guests for 2 nights, he would ask us what time we wanted breakfast and the staff would be up and ready to serve us at that time. The breakfast was fantastic; a choice of eggs, pancakes, french toast or the omlette of the day, all with a side of bacon or sausage, homefries and fruit. In the afternoon there were homemade cookies and hot apple cider in the lobby. The sauna and hottub were relaxing. The dinner was wonderful. They need to advertise there dinner to people other than the hotel guests. Really make it known how good their foor & service is. Our room was not huge, but I knew that going in. We wanted a very inexpensive place to stay and we definitely had that, without any sacrifice on service or quality. There is also separate ski storage room. We are going back next year! I highly recommend this inn.
“Close to Skiing - Great Place to Stay.”
The innkeepers were the absolute best. The rooms were very very clean. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. I stole all the cookies every-night that Mike the innkeeper made. The rates are more than fair and it was a little slow and the innkeepers upgraded us- That was amazing... The Sauna was great at the end of the day to warm your bones. I have found my place to hang when me and my cousins go skiing. You do not need to look any further if your looking for a inn / B&B.
“Quaint spot - would be ideal for young couples.”
Granted, we wanted the least expensive room, because we were only going to be there for one night; but this room was extremely small (could not fit more than one suitcase in the room), and with only one small window, there was no ventilation, and we happened to be there on a hot night, so it was very hot. Bathroom and shower were extremely small. With all of that being said, the staff were extremely friendly, and tried to accomodate - they offered another room, but it only had one double bed, and we needed 2 beds, so ended up in the small attic room that had a slanted ceiling, and a twin bed as the 2nd bed. Again, the staff was great, and the meals were terrific. Just know in advance that you want one of the larger rooms, and if you are conditioned to Air Conditioning (like we have become), go when the weather is cool, as even the fans could not provide enough circulation to be comfortable on a warm or hot night.
“Nice experience if electronics is not important”
Nice family inn close to local ski areas. The staff is exceptionally helpful and breakfast was very good. Plan to stay here again in future ski seasons.
“Very friendly inn”
Lovely and warm. Very close to Pico and Killington. Nice place to meet other families. Very friendly.
“cozy & quaint inn”
Emily & Michael were great host. Breakfast was very good, especially the bluberry muffins & the banana bread. It was great to just relax in the outdoor hot tub, we had it to ourselves the 1st night. Queen Bed was a little too firm for my taste, but overall a quaint room, and friendly service
“Great place and away from the hoard”
Never stayed in Mendon to ski Pico or Killington. Turned out to be a blessing not having to drive up the pass in a snowstorm. And also getting down into Rutland for dinner was easier than fighting the crowds on the Access Road and the food was much better. Table 24 and Three Tomatoes in particular were wonderful and a departure from overpriced resort fare. Lovely hosts, hot tub and sauna, a bar, made to order breakfast. Hard to beat.
