Nice Inn not to far from Pico and Killington

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Stayed a couple of weekend nights after Thanksgiving. Chose the Vermont Inn because we were going to see a Friend in Rutland but also wanted to ski a day at Killington. The Inn is Old but well kept and very clean. There was new carpeting everywhere (rooms, Hallway). My room was small and the hallway narrow. Great for a couple of nights, but might have been tight if I stayed longer. Staff was nice too. Only negative was the heater. It was new, but it would kick on and was a little noisy. I could have lived with either the noise all the time, or not at all.

Comfortable, clean with a tasty breakfast.

Posted Oct 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious and almost more than we could eat. We had french toast, eggs, bacon, coffee, juice, fresh fruit and pastry. Our room was nice. Very clean and a nice private bath. Our room was at the back of the inn and there was an entrance close to our room so we didn't have to walk all the way through the inn to get to our room. The inn was just off the road so we were able to get to several sightseeing places easily

A pleasant surprise!

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Recently on a college road trip with my daughter and had booked an overnight stay here. What a great and pleasant surprise to find the place was so much more than expected, especially since the off season rate was very reasonable. The Vermont Inn is quaint, very comfortable and clean. The staff is exceptional and very accommodating and upgraded our room without being asked, simply because it was available and they thought we might like it, king bed, fireplace and all. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. The dining in their restaurant food was very good and we had both dinner and breakfast there. Would definitely go back to stay longer and would highly recommend it, particularly in the fall when the trees are in full color and before ski season starts and everything gets very crowded.

Peaceful get away!

This Inn in charming and so comfortable. As easy and simple elegance that isn't stuffy. So many rooms to sit in for a place of quiet just to read or enjoy a cup of coffee. Decor is lovely and the dining room is wonderful. Food selection is great! They serve a complimentary full service breakfast and have a wonderful dinner menu with fairly reasonable prices. They also have a full service bar. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and extremely accommodating!

Cons: Nothing, don't ever change!
Location: Easy to find, well located on our "leaf peeping" tour. Would love to stay again, but for longer than one night!
Extremely friendly welcome and introduction. Room was great, hotel was great. Food was excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again if possible.

Norwalk Rockwell's " foliage time"

Posted Oct 17, 2014
My wife, disabled adult son, and I chose this Inn because of it's central Vermont location. We had never stayed at an Inn before. Upon check in we were upgraded to two rooms with connecting hallway so our son had his own room. The innkeeper, Emily, was very helpful and attentive. The free breakfast was to order and much more than at a chain motel. We came to Vermont for the foliage and the view from the inn was GREAT!

Do yourself a favor and book here immediately!

The Vermont Inn is simply amazing! I had to travel to Vermont for a business trip so I figured why not stay at a little bed and breakfast - boy was I in for a treat! The Vermont Inn offers the convenience of a modern hotel - with free wifi and cable tv throughout the facility - but the intimacy and comfort of a rustic getaway. The staff was very attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. I would wholeheartedly recommend - hope I have the chance to stay again!

Great Place to stay close to Rutland!

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: The cleanliness and comfort.
Cons: Not anything that I could find.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The place was very comfortable and clean. We ate at a great restaurant in downtown Rutland called Little Harry's. The Pad Thai dish was awesome!! Also, Norman Rockwell's museum is about 5 minutes away. His home in Arlington is about 1.5 - 2 hours away. I would love to stay here again on our next Vermont trip!
