Disappointed

Posted Feb 17, 2015
Pros: Bed and hottub
Cons: I just said if before
Location: Shopping and airport
Elevator was broke and ice machine. Then at 52/yrs old with heart condition had to carry bags to 2nd floor. Not very impressed, considering I have been to every state in USA and and worked in 28 states every provinces in Canada and worked in 2 of them. They did know they were under construction for months but none of these sites let the customers know, I guess? Next time I will call the location before booking before going through expida or whoever.

It was only a brief stay, arriving at 6:30 P.M. and leaving at 8:30 A.M. to catch a plane, however, the room was very clean, very convenient to the airport with great shuttle service, very friendly staff, and a nice cozy hotel. would recommend to everyone.

Never staying here again

Posted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: location and the beds were comfortable
Cons: the room could have been stocked with towels for 4 people since it sleeps up to 4 people; the fan in the bathroom did not work
Location: close to lightrail station to get to downtown Minneapolis
The elevators were out of order and the only way to get a room with the size bed we had reserved was to go to the second floor. The desk clerk said we would be compensated for taking the stairs (carrying our own luggage) with free items from the snack bar. It was understood that each of us (4 adults in 1 room) would get a free item, but when we returned later to claim the items we were told that it was only 1 item and we would be charged for the others. We declined all items. We also were not allowed to pay with cash for our room until check out and breakfast is not included with the room. There are no restaurants nearby and for the price we paid I would expect breakfast or breakfast as the compensation for lack of elevator use

We live just south of Minneapolis and stay here when we have events, parties, etc. near the airport or St. Paul and don't want to drive all the way home at night. We also stayed here after our wedding reception at a nearby country club I belong to a few years ago, along with many other revelers. The staff was kind enough to open the conference rooms up for us late at night so we wouldn't disturb any other guests that were sleeping. This was prearranged. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and usually very inexpensive. They also recently remodeled the lobby with a new lounge and bistro that serves decent food and drinks at certain hours.

Nice comfortable hotel

The room was clean and well laid out. Bed was a bit soft, but I like a very firm bed. Check in staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again if I was in the area.

Great Choice for Mall of America

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Starbucks in the lobby and the jacuzzi
Cons: Better pricing in the mini market
Location: Mall of America
This hotel was four miles from Mall of America and took us no time at all to get there. They serve Starbucks in the Lobby Cafe and have some simple menu choices for dining in. Large jacuzzi and pool area. The only negative would be the price of water in the hotel mini market. They charge $3.00 for a 16oz bottle so bring your own. The hotel is in more of a business area but everything you need is within a 5 minute drive. Great value for the accommodations

Very comfortable room.

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: location, felt very safe. I felt safe walking on the 3 flights of stairs for exercise.
Cons: Maybe lay the room out differently, so TV would not be uncomfortable to watch.
Location: We took a New Years Night Drive into St Paul. Lots of pretty lights. Close to MSP airport and Veteran's Hospital.
The bed was just right, my husband and I slept in until 7:00 a.m. The placement of the TV was awkward, and the couch was uncomfortable. We heard people getting up @ 3 a.m., but fan took care of that. Staff was super friendly.
