Going through the motions but falling shortPosted Nov 27, 2013
This hotel has put effort into attempting to be good but falls short in the sincerity of their efforts. The front desk staff go through the motions with little sincerity to make your stay pleasurable. Smiles are scarce which was a very stark difference from our experience at virtually every other hotel we stayed at in Argentina. We had internet problems in our room as well as bad gas like smells coming out of the air conditioning. When informed, action came only after being pushed. It appears the front desk management needs to be changed.

Really a Great Stay for the pricePosted Jun 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
Comfortable, nice staff, clean, good price, big beds, patio with lawn furiniture, spa with free sauna and good massage prices, not much more to ask for. Close to square and Sheraton next door has a casino for passing the night time. I will come back for sure.

Great spot to get tours to wine countryPosted May 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very comfortable, enjoyed the location. Breakfast got a little boring after 4 days. Lots of good quality but and it was good, but it was the same ole thing day after day. It would be nice if one could order from a menu to give a little variety, even if there was a small nominal charge.

Great hotel in pleasant locationPosted Apr 8, 2013
The hotel is located next door to the Sheraton and Mendoza Casino on one of the shorter & quieter streets in the neighborhood. Very nice lobby. I arrived much earlier than check in time but the receptionist advised me she would try to get me an available room. In the meantime she also provided me with th wifi password and a juice. Within I 10 minutes my room was ready. The room on the 5th floor was superb. The pool and terrace was small but well equipped, the gym was small. The bathroom was very pleasant also. The bed was quite large and very comfortable. Breakfast included in the rate was very good. I would definitely recommend. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great Breakfast & Locale, but Not Very FriendlyPosted Mar 26, 2013
Pros: The best things about the hotel were the location and the breakfast.
Cons: The room wasn't great, and the manager was not very friendly.
Location: The hotel is close to the center of town, walking distance from many points of interest.
Of the six hotels we stayed at during our trip to South America, this is the only one we didn't feel comfortable at. When we arrived at our room, there was a lot of noise from the renovation underway the floor above. The window was covered by a green tarp flapping in the wind. I assume the work would've stopped at night, but I'm sure the flapping tarp would've been bothersome while we tried to sleep. We asked if we could get a different room, and the manager came up to see what our problem was with the room. She seemed perturbed at our request but did switch us to another, smaller room. Afterwards, we saw her several times in the lobby, and although we said hi the first couple of times, she completely ignored us. On the positive side, the breakfast was truly excellent! The location was ideal - near the center of the town's activity.

Great stay in a fantastic hotel!Posted Feb 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I traveled throughout South America and we stayed at Huentala during our visit to Mendoza. It was the highlight of our trip! Mendoza is a must. Between visiting vineyards and having wine tastings in picturesque settings, or going zip lining and white water rafting in the Mendoza river, or having some of the best dinners of all time, we had an amazing time. Huentala Hotel added to this great experience. We had a private wine tasting in their superb wine cellar, great breakfasts with a nice variety of food, convenient and safe location in the city, and a comfortable and clean stay make this a perfect boutique hotel to stay at in a perfect destination!

good location, smelly lobbyPosted Feb 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
Breakfast & dining area were very nice. Hotel room was comfortable, but the floor (wood) seemed a little dirty & we could sometimes smell odd "exhaust" smells from the building behind. Also they had some kind of flowery "Febreze" smell that was very overpowering in the lobby. Hotel staff was helpful. When we visited, they pool was closed for maintenance, but they had an arrangement with the Sheraton next-door to use their pool (which was bigger & probably nicer, so that worked out good).

Convenient to wine countryPosted Feb 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed three nights at the Huentala in January 2013. We found the staff to be very professional and helpful (there was always someone at the front desk that spoke english). The rooms are cute and well appointed. The restaurant is worth visiting. The food and service were above average. The Huentala is only about 20 to 30 minutes from the heart of Mendoza's wine country. The only issues I had were that the hotel was being renovated at the time of our stay so there was scaffolding on the facade that made it hard to find (I do not consider this a reason not to come back) and that the air conditioner struggled (this I found to be true on our entire trip in Chile and Argentina). Overall I would definately come back to this hotel!
Great town, easy hotelPosted Jan 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a great stay at the Huentala, however would have appreciated them making us aware of the construction to the hotel when we booked. Our suite was beautiful but received no sunlight, no usable patio, and plenty of construction noise. The construction workers were on scaffolding directly outside our window. Luckily we had a busy schedule and were not planning on sleeping in! The hotel is adjoined to the Sheraton and the casino, which add to the amenities of the Huentala hotel. Overall, great hotel.
