A Perfect Holiday for Families

Posted Jul 11, 2012
Pros: The best things about the hotel were the pool, entertainment team and the relaxed atmosphere.
Cons: My least favourite things were that we could only stay 2 weeks!!
Location: 20 min in a taxi from Mahon airport and only 200m from the perfect beach resturants and shops on a very quiet and relaxed resort.
What can I say the perfect holiday in the perfect location! This is a great place to stay for families with younger children. My wife and I with our two children aged 6 and 3 stayed here for 2 weeks at the end of June and begining of July. The accomodation comprised of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments surrounding a large pool with a reception childrens playroom and a snackbar. The apartment was fully equiped with fridge, hob, microwave, kettle, TV and airconditioning. It couldn't have been more welcoming from our arrival onwards. It is all inclusive accomodation with dining in the adjoining terrace resturant with both inside (airconditioned) and outside tables. Food was available 8-10 am, 12.30pm - 2.30pm and 7.30pm - 9.30pm snacks were available from the pool bar at other times). The food was varied and of a good quality with enough range to suit every taste. There was a selection of activities everyday and entertainment in the evening to suit younger children and keep the grown-ups happy. My daughter particulaly enjoyed the mini disco, games and face painting whilst my football mad son enjoyed the mini football, darts, pool and air hockey. All our other time was spent in the spotlessly clean pool area or on the local beach with its picture postcard golden sand and clear blue/green sea perfect for swimming in only 200 metres away. The staff all worked extremely hard to make our stay the best it could be and to get us involved without being too pushy. Thank you!!!!!!!

Pros: apartment
Cons: Elvis
Location: great location, 5 minute stroll to beach, restaurants and shops, cash point only a small place, quiet, clean friendly
just what we wanted, lovely apartment, all apartments overlook the pool, well kept grounds round the pool, all inclusive. Liked that the dining/bar/entertainment area is seperate from the pool and apartments shame that you can't have the choice of the bar near the pool during eating times and the evening. if you don't like the entertainment but want to stay on site you don't get a choice but to sit there if you want to use the bar. Spirits are local alcohol and not that great and beer comes in small glasses only so one gulp and it was over! Animation staff could be better, they didn't appear to wantt o be there, would cut off music half way through a song without saying it's ended, turned the lights off whilst children were still dancing on stage. Just could be managed slightly better. perhaps they could also help take responsibility for keeping the pool area tidy. Quite often in the morning there was the odd cup and serviette floating around, the sun beds were all over the place; just a quick tidy would make the difference. Staff couldn't be more helpful even gave us an ice bucket full of ice on the night we chose to stay in our apartment away from the bingo! great for families, pool is well designed to accommodate all. again animation could be improved to entertain the children but to be honest the children were all playing together quiet happily. overall a good experience and with a few small changes and improvements could really help to lift the place.
