Wow what a find! This hostal is a little beauty. The rooms are small but really modern and quiet and I had the best nights sleep. We landed late at the airport and took a taxi to the hostal which took around 5-10 mins. We quickly checked into our room and walked down to the harbour where there are many lovely restaurants and bars to chose from. We had a meal and then several drinks and came back to the hostal. In the morning we got coffees from the cafe owned by the hostal which were very reasonable priced. Check out wasn’t until 12 so we checked out then walked into Mao centre where there was a market on and then we got on the bus to Ctiaudella. The bus station is quite big and there’s tv screens which tell you which stand your buss will pull into. We found the buses reliable and used Apple Maps to plan our journey all around the island. I would definitely stay at this hostal again and for longer than the one night. The staff are all very friendly and the room and bathroom were very modern and clean and had towels and basic toiletries. Would highly recommend this little gem :-)

Nice place to stay in a quiet neighborhood.
This is a very nice hotel, near the center of town. It is basic, but has a nice restaurant. The views are not really great, but it is only a couple of blocks from the harbor, which has really nice views. I've stayed at many places on the island, and overall this is my favorite.

The hotel did not have us on their list the day we checked in but managed to find us a room in the hotel annex next door but when opening the door to our room the bed was not made up and they sent us to another room which was very nice and roomy but the day before checking out we was told due to a leak we will have to move into another room for the last night which was very small compared to the other room. However the staff were very friendly and the general cleanliness of the hotel was very good.

Don't pay for late check out, STAY HERE INSREAD!
Didn't stay the night, just used this place as a place to rest before catching a late flight. It's 5 minutes walk from all the bars and shops in the centre of Mahon. The guy on reception was lovely and the room was all I needed for a break. Exceptional value considering most hotels charge €30 for a late check out. Only issue I had was I couldn't get any hot water for a shower.

Great hotel in the centre of Mahon
Hotel was clean tidy and comfortable however there was no restaurant on site and none close by. The purpose of our stay was to see the sights of Mahon.

Basic but good, clean base to explore Mahon
Plus points Relaxed and very friendly staff . Restaurant serves basic but adequate breakfast. Good hot shower. Bed comfortable. Clean and towels, bedding changed regularly. Location perfect for exploring Mahon. Central Bus Station within walking distance that goes all over island. . ( 5.10 euros for single fare to opposite end of island Cuitedella). Minuses No room service,restaurant ( breakfast only), no tea making facilities in room. Weekends were noisy with I think young Menorcans using as base for night out in Mahon? We would recommend to people looking for clean, basic base to explore what Menorca has to offer.

Great little place in Mahon!
I just stayed a week at the hostal 'La Isla' in Mahon and can only recommend it to anyone! The hostal is like a B&B type set-up and just excellent value for money. I went there pre-season (end of March), so, obviously, everything was fairly quiet - which is exactly what I was looking for. The owner, Paco, and his family are super helpful and friendly and I cannot wait to go back there again. The hostal is located in the old town part of Mao and rooms are very nice, functional and quiet. As I said, this is a fantastic place and great value for money, if you're looking for a great, clean, friendly place on a budget. Two very entusiastic thumbs up y'all!

It's a practical, yet extremely functional hotel!
Check in staff were very Friendly and available. We were welcomed to the hotel and helped with everything we needed (lugages, extra blankets and so on). The rooms aren't the spacious ones you find in more elite hotels, but they were practical, cosy , warm and most importantly, everything was working! The hotel is an inch away from historical downtown of the island's capital. Spot on, I know understand why this hotel is so highly rated. It deserves that 100%!

Very central hotel
Whilst the hotel is very central this does mean you have to drive around searching for a parking space if you don't know the area (and even if you do know the area). This does mean you can walk to central restaurants and even down to the port is not too far. Very close to the central shopping area and markets. Everything was clean and tidy, staff were helpful in trying to suggest restaurants open to the middle of January. All you would expect from a budget hotel.

La isla hostal
Before I went to menorca I wasn't too sure about this place due to it's name 'hostal' la isla. but when I arrived I got a good surprise. The hostal resembled a 3-4 star hotel, very modern, nice decor. The rooms were also very nice, comfy bed, good shower, free wifi, and the room was spotless. The hotel - not hostal - staff were also very kind, friendly anf welcoming. I loved it :-)

5 nights in Mahon
After a week long holiday at the beach resort of Arenal d'en Castell, we decided to extend our stay with a few nights in Mahon to get a taste of the capital city of Menorca. The hotel was in a quiet location whilst still being very close to the centre of town and within easy walking distance to all amenities. However, it has to be said that Mahon has many narrow, steep and cobbled streets. Everyone we met from local people to traders and restaurateurs were friendly and helpful in every way. The old city is compact and clean and the bus station has good connections to the main resorts and towns on the island. We paid less than three euros each to get to the airport, service every half hour, journey time was under fifteen minutes.

Se la struttura fosse stata in Italia, sicuramente sarebbe stata un 5*, le stanze piccole ma molto carine, ben organizzare e pulitissime. Il personale della reception, quelli della sala bar la sig.ra addetta alle pulizie sono gentilissimi. Abbiamo fatto la colazione in sede pagando solo sei euro al giorno per 2 cappuccini e 2 cornetti caldi ma offrono diversi menu. Le camere non sono dotate di frigo ma tutti i giorni consegnavamo delle bottiglie d’acqua e il personale gentilmente ce le teneva in fresco. Il phon è quello grande e se richiesto in reception viene dato in dotazione. Gli asciugamani vengono cambiati tutti i giorni.
