Practical and cheap!Posted Sep 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was perfect for an overnight. The room was practical with no frills. Comfortable and clean. Staff was very friendly. Close to a few nice sports bars and a few minute drive to lake Erie.

Acceptable, but not the Taj MahalPosted Aug 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was clean. Breakfast I'd rate at 7 out of 10; not as much variety as other motels but the basics were there including make-your-own waffles. Staff were friendly and helpful. The toilet did not flush in our first room and we were moved a second room promptly. No problems from there on. The desk clerk printed out Google Map directions for us, unsolicited, for a point of interest that was on our agenda, which was very nice. For the price, a good place to stay.

From out of town and hotel was close family.Posted Aug 14, 2013
Cons: Think the rooms need to all have blow dryers and coffee makers. We had a microwave and no coffee maker or blow dryer. Didn't make sense.
Location: I liked that the hotel was located in between my family's home and the beach. It was quiet and convenient.
Room itself was clean but bathroom shower curtain had mildew on it and the room had a hole in the wall from the door. The mattresses may have been old because they seem to be sunken in in the middle and were very uncomfortable. I reserved four rooms and two of them the air conditioning didn't work very well or at all. Our room didn't have a blow dryer or a coffee maker while the other room did. We had to drive across the street for coffee. The lobby didn't have any either. It was only one night we stayed and we didn't spend much time in the room so we dealt with it but we won't ever stay there again.

Pros: That they allowed pets, comfortable bed and recliner chair, good shower, good tv with cable privilages.
Cons: Clean more thoroughly, (use bleach products), more mature receptive efficient desk personel, fix elec wall outlets in rooms (or turn back on)
Location: Lake Erie beach in Fairport (approx 8 miles away) was beautiful. Lighthouse museum. We were here for a Skyhounds disc dog event
We chose this motel because we travel with our two dogs. The facillity was fine, good area outside for pets to relieve themselves, room layout was ok. What we didn't like was the room felt dirty. When I moved the recliner slightly to make room for our dog crate there was old candy bar debris w an old wrapper that hadn't been cleaned up prior to us getting the room. The room also smelled very musty and mildew like both in the bathroom area and in the main room. The hosts also didn't seem receptive to us or that they even understood the nature of their job. We had booked and prepaid a room for two days which didn't seem to register with the front desk people, we had to go renew the entry key and were also told we couldn't have more coffee for the the second morning of our stay in the room, (this did get rectified though.) Also none of the electical outlets had both plugs working, there were just enough to run the room tv and room light. We had to not use something in order to charge our cell phones etc. which was frustrating.

Quiet, welcoming, down-to-earth placePosted Aug 5, 2013 on Hotels.com
It worked well for me, once I found it! (local residents were very helpful in directing me to it) I like the honest simplicity and friendliness of both staff and guests. The parking was ideal. I had a good night's sleep and a lovely, simple breakfast before heading out to the funeral of a dear friend in nearby Painesville. I would stay there again without hesitation.
