Pros: Excellent location - very convenient. Staff friendly and very helpful.
Cons: Our room was at the top of the stairs, and every noise in the building could be heard at all hours of the night.
Location: Downtown location is great - convenient to shops and restaurants.
Noise volume kept us awake all night. We could hear children playing on the stairs outside our room and their voices were squealing and very loud. Everyone loves to hear children laughing, but not at midnight when we had to be up early for a flight.

Absolutely value for money, not morePosted Jul 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Because we like colonial atmosphere we chose this hotel for three nights. If your are budget traveller = go on; if you prefer comfortable room = begone. Our room was clean, every day new towel, wi-fi sometimes slow but working, furniture very old, basic, colonial style and a little ridiculous... BUT WE WERE SATISFIED :-) Location in historical center few steps from zócalo in colorful street, simply EXCELLENT LOCATION in heath of Campeche.

Lovely hotel to stay on the way to destinationPosted Mar 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Caribe is the perfect place to stay to see Merida. It is located in a prime location, withing a block of Plaza Grande. The room was clean and comfortable. The air conditioning kept it at a tolerable temperature. We had some mosquitos in our room, but I am pretty sure that we let them in. We would keep the windows and door open for some fresh air during the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone going to Merida

Great Location and Atmosphere!Posted Feb 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Caribe gets an "A" for atmosphere. Our room and bathroom were tiny. Bed was OK. Our room was on the end on the top floor. The view was spectacular, the tiny pool unswimmable, but it was very pleasant on the patio. The patio furniture needed a good cleaning or replacement. Although there was no elevator, a staff member was available to carry bags upstairs. We did not eat at the hotel, but we heard that the food had improved recently.

caribe great location - bring your own pillow.Posted Feb 12, 2013
Pros: location, roof top, AM coffee & fruit in hotel.........
Cons: beds and pillows
Location: superb !
sadly once again - BEDS ! Mattresses somewhat hard and the pillows harder. Apart from that - the top floor location was wonderful with cathedral lights right above us and a pool at our door.

Great location in CentroPosted Dec 29, 2012
Pros: Staff were responsive to the few problems I had. The location is perfect.
Cons: Room size on 3rd floor. If you are traveling as a couple take the 1st/2nd floor and walk upstairs to get to the pool.
Location: Literally in the "corner" of Hidalgo square. Within 3 or 4 blocks of just about anything you need. If you want Centro, it's hard to beat.
3rd floor rooms are small. Fine for one. The A/C was ice cold. Bed was firm. They installed a flat screen TV the 2nd week I was there. The staff moved things around to make a nice working area for my laptop. 3rd floor is close to the pool if that's important. Long trek up the steps. Internet worked when it worked. It was generally down for hours a day. Nice to walk out the hotel door into Hidalgo square. Food at the restaurant was quite good. Church bells begin at 0630 and continue aperiodically the rest of the day. Fall asleep to the courtyard fountain at night. Great staff; I felt safe in and around the hotel. It's a classy old place that grows on you after a few days.

Great for visiting downtownPosted Nov 12, 2012
This hotel is really convenient and a good bargain if you want to stay downtown and be able to walk to the different sites without any hassle. Some of the rooms are a little run down, but the ambience of the hotel is great!
