Great hotel to see local sightsPosted Jul 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff he were amazing. Very helpful in organising tours, taxis, and a bus to playa del carmen. Merida was a wonderful place to visit, & the hotel was within around 7 minutes walking distance to the centre. The rooms were large, the beds were quite small but ok. Overall a good hotel for a good price. No more no less.

Great small hotel and locationPosted Jul 12, 2013
Pros: Location and helpful staff
Really friendly and very helpful staff. Only downside was the breakfast was rather basic and not much choice. Would recommend to friends

Nice stay at MeridaPosted Apr 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is close to Merida downtown. The staff are very friendly. The hotel lobby and room are nicely decorated. We had a nice stay there. My only "complaint" is that the internet connection in the room is not very good. On the other hand, there is a computer in the lobby for the customs to use.

A great hotel in a great locationPosted Apr 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We spent three nights in this hotel in Merida and loved it from the minute we arrived. It's not really walking distance from the bus station with bags but is a great location for exploring the city and the neighbourhood felt very safe. We were welcomed by Fernando who gave us loads of information about what was going on in the city, were we could go for dinner, markets, to see salsa dancing etc. We had an upstairs room which was really comfortable, nicely furnished and very clean and had a lovely terrace in front where you could sit. The room had only a small window above the door but it didn't actually need anything more and kept the room cool during the day. The 'help yourself' breakfast was perfect for us, yoghurt, cereal, toast, juice, fruit and tea/coffee and always plenty to go round. Having a kitchen and a fridge to use was a great bonus and this combination of hotel and hostel facilities with private ensuite rooms and communal space to relax and chat to other guests was ideal. The fridge full of drinks and beer, which you just paid for at reception, was also very welcome (and cheap!) although the market was only a few blocks away. The staff at the Peregrino helped us so much in arranging our plans and we never felt obliged to take trips with their partner tour operator as they weren't pushy just informative. We didn't use the off-site pool as we ran out of time but we were told it was 4 blocks away which we didn't have a problem with.

Very good value little hotelPosted Mar 8, 2013
The hotel was very good value and reasonably well positioned for the town centre and Paseo de Montejo. It made it much easier that the receptionist spoke such good English. The room wasn`t enormous but was characterful and colourful. The buffet breakfast was very good. We didn`t use it but could use microwave and kitchen.

Best place in MeridaPosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
We loved our stay here. It was quiet, the guests were friendly, and the staff was perfect. It's hard to find a place in Merida with such charm PLUS a kitchen. Do yourself a favor and book this hotel for your trip. Try to book one of the 'Deluxe 2 double bed' rooms - they're upstairs and are really quiet.

Clean, quiet, convenient Merida hotelPosted Jan 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a great time here. The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rooms and public areas are kept immaculately clean. This hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, but within just a 7-10 minute walk you can be downtown in the heart of Merida. The shared kitchen is definitely a nice bonus, and if you forgot to buy sodas, beer, juice or wine they sell some on the property for reasonable prices. We like it so much here that we're extending our stay!

Good modest placePosted Jan 10, 2013
Good hotel, a few blocks from the center, colonial building, well kept, with brekfast. Only negative is that the bathroom is too small and the safe is placed in a very uncomfortable place.
