everything, top to bottom was good. the staff was helpful. the room was clean, the finitudes were new, the bathroom was especially nice. the sink was not cleaned thoroughly upon check in (many small hairs). the safe did not work. it is pretty far from downtown. however, it worked out very well for me because it is only 3 blocks from the Fiesta Americana ADO bus station, which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is new, not on Google map and the Apple map has the location wrong. Since I did not care much about seeing another typical Latin American colonial downtown, but needed to use ADO bus, I was happy with it.

We were in Merida on business this last time and stayed for only 4 nights. The staff was wonderful. They were helpful, friendly, and spoke great english. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The free breakfast each morning was delicious. Quick and easy to begin the day. There was a pool which we never used (which is unusual for us) but we just didn't have time. It did look inviting though and saw people enjoying it while we were eating breakfast. The location is great if you dont want to be downtown although it is very quick and easy to get there. The price was right as we didn't want to stay in a huge hotel with all the bells and whistles. Just wanted a free breakfast and a pool. Having a great room, cleanliness, and great staff was the added bonus. We'd stay here again.

I have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times over the past 30 years. The decor is much the same but that is OK ... it is a kind of timeless colonial style that wears well. The beds are OK but they need to go to pillow-top matresses soon. There were lots of comfortable pillows. They also need to install an ice machine on every floor.
I continute to chose this hotel because of its location near some interesting shopping, it has free parking outside the crush of the colonial downtown and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I will go back again.

My family (eight of us) and I stayed at the Inter-Continental Presidente in Merida for a whole week from Dec. 23 to the 29th, 2012. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel with great comfortable rooms and incredible customer service. The location is excellent, close to everything and a very short taxi ride to downtown. I recommend visiting Merida as it is a beautiful city and enjoyed staying at this hotel very much. I will be back for sure!

This hotel was beautiful inside, if you like the authentic Mexican feel. Nothing "modern" about it. The staff were very helpful, free secure parking, good wifi, the pool is lovely and it is only 3 blocks from the main square. Breakfast was good, coffee was amazing. And price was great! Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel was again a great place to stay overnight when we arrived on that 9:15 pm flight from Houston. We enjoyed the usual splendid brunch next morning before we set out for our house at the beach.
