Great reasonably priced to stay

I loved everything about this nice hotel. I enjoyed my stay and everything was very clean and orderly. The staff was friendly and allowed special checking in/out times. The only drawback is a small pool, but it's unique in that it's an indoor/outdoor split pool. I would definitely look to stay at this place first again!

Pros: The hotel and grounds are attractive. Price was reasonable.
Nice updated room and friendly staff. Loved that it is a bit off of busy US 30, which makes for a quieter location.

Great value for the money. Very comfortable bed, clean and generous size room. Close to tons of restaurants, stores and more.

Great place to stay!

It was very close to the Star Plaza venue which was what brought us to Merrillville for the night. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and the room was quiet. We would definitely stay there again. The outdoor area behind the hotel was very lovely and a great spot for outdoor portraits.

Rooms could be serviced better.

We were staying for a wedding, so we didn't spend much time in the room. This was a good thing. The bathroom floor was dirty, several different hairs on the floor. The in room refrigerator had someone else's leftovers still in it when we checked in. The tissue box had only 2 tissues in it. I am glad we only stayed the one night.

After having stayed in most all of the other surrounding hotels (we come to the area frequently for business), we have decided the Courtyard is the best value. It is well-appointed, very clean, quiet, secure, great staff, breakfast worth the extra cost, and is our ongoing choice for repeat stays.

Noise level

Cons: Should have elevators available and centennial breakfast. Sign for the hotel was small and difficult to find. No shampoo, but two conditioners
When we checked in we had to initial a piece of paper regarding noise control, yet the were loud people in the hallways throughout the night. Candy wrappers found outside and under our door the next morning.

They had great services, rooms are clean, everything was easy to use. One thing i didn't like was how the pool water taste like after i got out of it but it was still enjoyable.

Nice Hotel

The staff was friendly & helpful. We really liked that the hotel was in its own little corner without noise or traffic. The facilities were also very nice, including the gym and swimming pool.
