I do wish that I had read reviews of this hotel before booking it. I have stayed at several Red Roof Inns and was always satisfied until this one. The hotel is badly in need of maintenance and repair, and it was not clean. The supplies were minimal. We had to go ask for a roll of toilet paper because the one on the dispenser was nearly gone and there was no extra one. One of the double beds had broken springs on one side. The essentials were there: The TV worked, there was hot water, and there was heat. But I won't even say it was tolerable at the price because we stayed in another Red Roof in Deerfield, IL the following night and that one was cheaper and in excellent condition. Now that I have read other reviews, I can only suggest that you stop apologizing to guests (we won't be back) and start investing in the hotel.

First the pros: Staff was very friendly and tried their best to help with problems, the ice machine was super at spitting out a large quantity of ice, the HVAC was decent, sink and toilet were clean, bedding was clean. The cons: A lot of loud people out in the parking lot until 2 am, refrigerator and microwave were extremely dirty, floor looked like it hadn't been swept, TV screen and mirrors had a dirty film on them, there were no towels in the room I had to ask for them, TV remote didn't work had to ask for a new one, telephone in room had no handset cord or cord to the wall really not sure why it was even there, the building itself seemed really old and dilapidated. Supposed to be a smoke free room, but it smelled like smoke. My stay for only for 2 nights, I would not recommend for a longer stay.

There was black mold in the Bathroom, with grime and dirt on the walls in the bathroom. Flooring was peeling up. The rails and steps to the upper floors showed severe rusting and big gaps. Especially on the stairs, the welds looked like they would not take much before the stairs collapsed. This was the same for the rails on the upper floor. Rusted out bad.

It’s run down and dirty. The rooms smell bad, you can tell they don’t change the sheets in between customers out first room had blood on the covers and was dirty we switched rooms and there was hair all over the bed from the previous customer. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all we had to sleep on top of the covers and we had to go buy our own blanket from wal mart to cover the bed and cover ourselves. I was very disappointed with this hotel. The reviews and pictures I feel are faked in order to get ppl to stay there. Never again.

The first room we were given was propped open, the manager told us it was fine to go in, but there were bugs already in there, it smelled like smoke and the sheets were dirty. We got a second room that was better l, but there were no pillows covers, there is mold in the shower, and no towels. The sheets were also still not the cleanest.

The floor near the front door/AC unit leaked water. Under the cheap flooring do it was warped and bubbly. The tub had a dirt ring that could rub off with my finger (NOT CLEANED BETWEEN CLIENTS). No hair dryers. The mattress was a lumpy mess. Will never stay here again. Not worth $80 a night!!!

Paid for a king bed but was told there were none available when I arrived which I said was fine because I was on a road trip and checked in very late, 2 am. I asked for a late checkout at noon and they told me noon was the latest. Got to the room, looks nothing like the pictures. You immediately can tell that despite it being non smoking that people had smoked in here. The two beds had different bedding. One of them had a cigarette burn in the comforter and a dent in thr mattress on one side. The ceiling in the corner above the door was falling apart. The bathroom was tiny and falling apart. The shower looked too gross to want to use. The a/c didn’t get the room very cool at all and sounded like a semi was running outside in the parking lot. It was “clean” but there are things that need to be fixed for it to have been a pleasant experience. I Hope some of the other rooms are in better condition. On top of all of that housekeeping knocked on the door at 11, I got up and tried to explain that I had late checkout and was told I needed to talk to the front desk and told them i already had when I checked in at 2 am and was told again to talk to the front desk. I called instead of walking down and was on hold when a fee minutes later another staff member knocked very loudly and told me that noon was the latest and I said ok. So much for getting an extra half hour or so of sleep. Ml

I got the keys , went to find my room with my family and there were people outside the rooms smoking and drinking , partying. My daughter was scared . Got to the room and couldn’t get in because my keys didn’t work I returned the keys and left the place.

the stay was ok, the comfort of the room was bad. the mattress was so bad and uncomfortable that my back hurts so bad a day after and still today. when you sleep the mattress is so week and outdated that it sinks, you can also feel the springs in the mattress. While you are sleeping the weight of your body create a hole and your back will feel it the next day.

The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. However, the A/C didn't work, the phone didn't work, there were no towells, and while therre was an iron, there was no ironing board. I never got a chance to stay at the hotel. I was almost arriving at the hotel, when I received a call saying the hotel did not have any available rooms. This is 11:30 at night and now I have to email customer service to get a refund, and also find another place to stay. This was a horrible experience with this site and with the hotel. I had to settle for a very crummy hotel I found outside of hotels.com. It was a very traumatizing experience
