“DISAPPOINTED!”
I have stayed at the Casablanca before for local little league baseball tounaments and didn't notice the horrible quality of this hotel because we were busy with games. This trip was just for fun and I was excited for a relaxing resort with good food and service. First of all, the buffet was absolutely horrible. We actually had to go to the "Fez" (Casablanca's cafe) and order something for my daughter to eat after paying $15 per person for the buffet where she could not find one thing that she liked (and she is not a picky eater). The dinner rolls were actually thrown in a basket still in the bag (like they were purchased at the local Walmart). The pasta, hard and crusty -- even the desserts were terrible. No variety, no quality whatsoever. Don't waste your money!! The staff at the hotel acted like they were being inconvenieced except for one cashier that was somewhat friendly. In summary, tight slot machines, irritible staff, HORRIBLE food. I will never stay here again.
“Nice and clean”
Nice and clean hotel. Quiet. Beautiful view. Rooms were a little dated, but very comfortable. Bed was great - good sleep. Showerhead was small and old and sprayed out only a fine spray. Had a non-smoking room, but in a casino hotel there is still plenty of smoking going on; could smell smoke from bathroom venting. No free internet in rooms as expected from verbal with Expedia. No coffee maker - I don't drink coffee, but wanted hot water for hot chocolate. Ate breakfast at hotel and was very good and nicely priced. I would stay here again.
“Smoky”
You can request non smoking rooms, however smoke permeates the structure.
“Always a pleaure”
Casablanca is always consistent...the best place to stay in Mesquite.
“We had a great time!”
The hotel/casino was really great. The rooms are a little worn and run down, but they were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The don't have a coffee maker in the room and we really missed that, but there was a Starbucks down the hall from our room. We ate several meals in The Fez and found the rates to be extremely reasonable, service very good, portions large and the food was great. We ate two breakfast meals and two dinner meals in this restaurant and we were very pleased each time. The grounds were beautifully groomed and immaculate - the pool and hot tub very clean. We will definitely stay here again.
“Not impressed”
The people that work here do not treat their guests like paying customers. Closing the swimming pool at 6 pm is just ridiculous. Definitely won't stay here again and no I didn't lose money gambling in the smoke filled casino.
“OK not impressed”
just ok room could have been cleaner the beds need to be replaced. But the price was great and the food at the resort was very good for the price.
“Awesome pool...Crappy Bed”
We checked in a little after 5pm, check in started at 4pm. I traveled w/ husband, 5 yr old & 6 yr old. We had been in the car for 7 hours. We were starving & immediately went to the Fez Restaurant, it was inexpensive, huge portion sizes & excellent food. After eating we went to get in swimsuits & the kids could not wait to get to the pool. We arrived at the pool about 5 mins after 6 pm. I was so ANGRY because the pool was closed, it closed at 6pm. The whole 7 hr drive my kids could not stop talking about the pool & now they couldn't swim because it closed at an extremely early time. I can not state enough how MAD I was about not being able to swim, had the check in person told us it closed at 6, we would have waited to eat. The rooms are what I consider to be "The Golden Girls" decorations (the sitcom from the 80's). Pretty sure the bed was at least 20 years old, it was hard and I felt a spring in my back. Granted I am still MAD- we woke up early to try to get a swim in, check out is 11 am. At 10 am it was only 59 degrees, but we figured the kids would be cold in a few minutes & be ready to get out. We checked out of our room & went to the pool. The pool was awesome, it was not cold, I even got in. We swam for over 2 hrs & showered in the pool restroom. The pool is 3 1/2 ft deep so 5 yr old couldn't touch bottom, but 6 yr old could. Pool has a fun slide. The pool made it worth it, I got over being mad. Advice Arrive early. Hard beds need to be replaced.
“wonderful place to stop before the next leg of your trip”
I would recommend the Casablanca..staff friendly.
“Had a great time.”
Enjoyed our stay very much
