The property couch and recliner a bit worn and shabby, otherwise, OK. The name of the place is confusing. If it’s Highland Estates, then update the web site from Mojave Edge.

Was nice and quiet, not a five star facility tho. Our unit needs a smart tv in living room, tiny one in bedroom.. didn’t try because I could not have seen anything from the bed. Our friends room smelled horrible, ours smelled fine. Would be nice if in spring floor ac/heat could be both and not have to be manually switched back and forth. I would probably stay again but bring my pillow and not have 5 star expectations.

Theresa,As much as we would love to be a 5 star Hotel, we are not. Each unit is individually owned and is managed by the hotel. We apologize for the inconvenience of not having a big enough TV for your pleasure and dealing with the Mesquite heat can be tough sometimes. Mesquite is for individuals that like to venture outside and get out regardless of what the weather looks like. We look forward to seeing you again soon

Appears to be a retirement home that was transformed into a hotel. Furniture and decor was very dated. Rooms were dark. Looked like straight out of the 70’s. Breakfast was not included. In-house restaurant food was poor. Rooms were way over-priced. Outdoor pool was ice cold.

Unclean.
The shower was in shambles. Looked like it had been broken and tried to fix with sealant. Did not look clean at all.

Spacious room
I was shocked by how roomy our hotel room was. It was really an apartment with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room and kitchen. The apartment itself was a little outdated, but we didn't mind. Everything was clean. The staff was friendly. One pool was a decent temperature (the other was quite cold), and the hot tub was hot. I used the gym facilities and found them adequate. We enjoyed working on the puzzle that was in the hall outside of our room. Overall a great stay and we would be happy to stay here again.

Really quite nice and reasonably priced. Staff was unenthusiastic but adequate. Honestly wished we stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities.

We stayed one night while passing through. It was perfect. We had two bedrooms and a kitchen. The outside area is really nice. Two pools with a waterfall. Nice hot tub. We took advantage of the amenities while there.

Don’t stay here!
I will be asking for a refund. It was listed as a 3 star. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was no 3 star. It was a terrible way to start our vacation. It was an assisted living facility from the 80s that was converted to a place where people buy the units and then rent them out. Our owner couldn’t be bothered to buy decent mattresses. It was like sleeping on the floor they were so uncomfortable!!!

Disappointing
Worn interior with stained carpets and very uncomfortable bed. Aged and small televisions with poor analog reception. Assume each unit has different amenities. Marketed as hotel but actually managed private units. Good location to casinos and golf. So convenient When checking in and out no one at desk.

Nice enough place. Seems more like a long term stay place than a hotel. Carpet really needed cleaning. Otherwise okay for an overnight while on the road

The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. You can see through the thin bed linens. The couch was worn out and not all the lamps worked and the lack of good overhead lighting made reading difficult other than in the kitchen area. Would not stay here again.

I enjoy that the rooms are like small apartments. I like that there’s a weight room, 2 swimming pools and a hot tub. My husband and I have stayed at this property several times. This stay however was not as nice. We were in 101 and there was quite a bit of noise at the front desk that was easily heard in our room. Several lamps wouldn’t turn on. The toilet handle had to be held down in order to flush and the bathroom needed to be cleaned better- dried soap on the counter and dust on the picture hanging on the wall.
