“The Hotel Timeo, Taormina, Sicily”

The Hotel Timeo is a beautiful place perfectly situated on the cliffs overlooking the bay and below the Greek Theatre. The view from the terrace of the bay, coastline and Mount Etna has to be one of the most beautiful in the world. provided you can close your eyes to the eyewateringly high prices charged by this deservedly 5 star hotel your stay will be close to perfection. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff to do for you. The meals are outstanding as is the quality of the drinks served.

Fantastic. Stayed for one night. Very classy, the room had a stunning view of the sea and Mount Etna. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again (if i could afford to!!)

Brilliant place with fantastic views out over Taormina and, when the clouds part, stunning backdrop of the mighty Etna towering over the region. Cuisine first rate. Staff - nothing was a problem Very satisfied.

“Astoundingly Wonderful”

Very expensive, but we've paid double their rates elsewhere and never seen a lovelier place. "Old Money" architecture and furnishings, but warmly welcoming, relaxed, light and airy. Breathtaking views from the expansive terraces, AND from our terraced room in the attic (their very cheapest).

“Fantastic hotel, great location,”

I would definately recommend this hotel. It is in a great location and even though it was fully booked you still felt you had the place to yourself. Word of warning, although the hotel directory may say that the Turkish Bath is free, it is not. We had a shock when after a delightful experience were presented with an huge bill - Ouch!! I did complain and they agreed to waiver the charge, but it did put a bit of a damper on the whole thing. Depending on how deep your pockets are, the hotel is definately for the rich. Food & Wine are eye wateringly expensive. Other than that save up and treat yourself and have a great time, we did.

We had a fabulous stay. luxurious surroundings. attentive, courteous & friendly staff. Marvelous fresh food. with a view from the terrace that takes your breath away.

The Hotel is old but in great condition. The breakfast buffet is superb right up with a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton or any 5 star hotel. The dinner was one of the best meals of the trip.
