This hotel has everything you need, but nothing was spectacular. The entire hotel needs a deep clean, the room was dirty and hardly any furniture in it. The breakfast was very mediocre. The location on the beach is nice, but the pool looked too dirty to swim in. I’m assuming the hotel used to be a 4 star, but now I wouldn’t call it that.

Everything was great! The room, the hotel grounds, the pool, the beach… all amazing. The only problem was the bar man at the bar near the pool. He was very rude, unhelpful, and should not be in a customer service role. He let down the entire experience because of his lazy, disinterested attitude.

What expecting more for a 4 stars....
The breakfast was not good for a 4 stars hotel. The staff was not friendly and also not helpful with the informations regarding activies in the area, such as Etna, vineyards, Taormina and Catania airport situation. The rooms are not very well isolated, you can hear when people open/close their doors. There is a live musician that plays and sings until midnight by the every night that we were there. Impossible to sleep.... Pool closes so early when there is not even a lifeguard nearby...

The Staff at the property felt unfriendly and disturbed by my presence. They were always making comments and did not even Stand up from chairs when talking in person. The bar tender at the swimming pool did not answer questions with good manners. The waiters at breakfast and dinner noisy and always making tables while people were still eating.

Great place for a few days
Lovely room bed sheets shower all excellent . Brek good and indoor barman v friendly . Have to have sit down lunch needs a snack bar . The car park has a barrier that smashes down on your car we were not impressed with this . Good location for bars and bus to Taormina . Lovely beach and views of Etna . No sunbeds on beach fort end of sea even though weather 25. Loud American tour group sat around pool one afternoon completely oblivious everyone trying to relax.

great hotel
I normally stay in the Hilton next door to this hotel but it was closed, so I decided to stay here instead. What a lovely surprise, lovely hotel, fantastic service, on the beach and loads cheaper than the Hilton with breakfast included! Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Ageing glamour in need of a soul
Perhaps a glamourous hotel in its day, it is now a little tired. The shower is very small and bathroom needs updating. Beautiful views from large balcony over pool and beach beyond. This is not a bad hotel, it just feels a little soulless and in a different era.

Nice stay in Giardini Naxos
we really enjoy our stay at this Hotel .very well situated right on the Ocean and when we got there they offer us to up grade my room with a balcony and a view on the Ocean which was very much appreciated. the staff are very nice .really had a good time .too bad we got there the day after a big rain storm which left alot of damage in the street and store in the area but the municipality took care of cleanning the road very rapidly

I just love it here . I cannot say a bad word because I have had one of the best times in my life. Of course nothing is perfect however this place offers the most laid back and chilled experienced in the most beautiful setting with the best beach ever ! I'm coming back as often as possible .

2015 Hot July Taormina Trip at the Hellenia YH
Beautiful hotel from the outside and from the inside. It could use a little updating but a marvelous building nonetheless. First night we had some problems because the AC in our room wasn't working properly. We had booked 4 rooms and we (by chance) got assigned the only one that had problems. They however moved us to another room without any issue. The stuff was incredible, kind, attentive, fast and couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast crew and the pool bar crew were fantastic. We didn't expect the charge for the umbrella and chairs at the private beach but it wasn't a big deal any way. Staff was great, hotel is very nice, location is fantastic with plenty of options to eat across the street (I suggest Valentino) and a mile or so down the road in Naxos. Great choice overall.

To my great fortune, the Hilton next door to the Hellenia, where my conference was being held, was fully booked. The Hellenia is beautiful to see, inside and out, quietly elegant, with an atmosphere of calm and gentility. The quiet extended to the room: Mine was a double with two balconies overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and the handsome terrace/pool area below. I slept well and enjoyed the atmosphere. The breakfast could have been a bit more creative. Two things prevent me from giving a five-star review, however. I found the front desk personnel to be stand-offish, and seemingly preoccupied with more important business; this is in marked contrast to the overall friendliness and helpfulness of Sicilians in general. And despite the claim of offering wireless connectivity, there was no internet service – wireless or wired – during my five-day stay at the Hellenia. "Is broken" was the only response I received. I asked whether it would be repaired soon. The reply was a shrug.

Nice Hotel / Great Location
The location of Hellenia Yachting is it's best and worst feature. Worst because it's a little difficult to get to at first and there is very little parking at the hotel. I had rented a car. However, the people there, including the other guests who had cars, were all very cooperative. Periodically you find yourself being called to move your car so someone else can get out. But, this is an excellent location in that they are right on the water. You have a choice of hanging by the pool or just walking down a flight of stairs to the beach. Also, plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance and the bus stop is just around the corner. Food was very good, I like this hotel a lot.

little bit overpricey
Five (10? 15?) year ago it was "top of the line". They still charge you this money, but it is not anymore. Staff is OK, but no more than this. I needed to break 20EUR bill to leave tips for the barman, but girls at the front desk could not help. I asked where I could do it, they sent me to the bar which was already closed. Result - poor barman got no tips... So overall nice place - but do not expect miracles.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber alles so wie in der Beschreibung geschildert. Die Lage ist gut und das Hotel ruhig, direkt am Meer gelegen. Das Frühstück war qualitativ nicht ausreichend und kann dem Anspruch eines Hotels nicht genügen.

Abbiamo ricevuto un'ottima accoglienza in una struttura, devo dire , molto elegante che cozza un po' con certe aree circostanti. Nell'insieme siamo stati bene, buon servizio, stanze pulite e comode, colazione dignitosa. Unico "problemino" è stata l'assenza dell'aria condizionata in camera senz'altro per i costi diventati proibitivi fuori stagione. Ce ne siamo fatti una ragione. Ottimo parcheggio gratuito che non guasta mai.

Receptie: vriendelijk ontvangst en gedurende het verblijft was het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Ze hielpen ons toen ik mijn telefoon kwijt was geraakt tijdens een tourtje en de volgende ochtend lag de telefoon al op me te wachten bij de receptie. De kamer: prima kamer, fijne douche en fijn bed. Het is echter wel wat gehorig, maar niets dat oordopjes niet tegenhouden :) Het restaurant: ontbijt en diner hebben we beide gebruik van gemaakt. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en zeker prima! Diner hebben we twee keer in het restaurant genuttigd; was ook goed. Alles wordt ‘op de kamer gezet’ en je betaalt bij uitchecken. Omdat je nooit echt een bon met prijzen ziet, was het voor ons een verrassing hoe hoog de eindafrekening zou zijn, viel gelukkig mee :) Buiten is ook nog een restaurant, voor lunch: helemaal top ook!! De bar: ook hier, supervriendelijk personeel, dat de hele dag voor je klaar staat. Ze bezorgen je drankjes of snacks op het terras of zelfs je strandbedje, perfect! Het zwembad: het enige ‘nadeel’ is dat je pal in de zon zit. Voor de rest: lekker muziekje en fijne ligbedden Het strand: fijn strand met fijne ligbedden en parasols. Aanrader is wel om waterschoenen aan te doen. Omgeving: genoeg restaurants aan de overkant. Ook kleding winkel en Farmacia om de hoek. Taxi’s brengen je (fixed price) naar Giardini Naxos centrum of bijv. Taormina. Aan de Via Recanati (ri. Una hotel) zitten nog 2restaurants en shops die je snel over het hoofd ziet. De moeite waard!!

Aardig hotel, met aardige kamers vooral als je een upgrade kreeg zoals wij. Vervelend dat je voor alle voorzieningen zoals het privestrand, badhanddoeken, parkeren bij het hotel aanzienlijke bedragen moest neertellen.

L eleganza la tranquillita e la vicinanza con il mare e il contesto dove si trova l hotel. L unica cosa che non mi e piaciuta la scaletta per scendere a mare. Pur essendo breve e pochi gradini mi pare che un alternativa ci voglua.

Ottima posizione, camera datata e poco pulita, personale gentile e disponibile. Non condivido il fatto che bisogna pagare extra il servizio spiaggia 15,00 euro per 2 lettini e 1 ombrellone dopo che ho pagato 218,00 euro a notte. Inoltre ti danno un telo mare per tutto il periodo del soggiorno, praticamente lo stesso telo per 7 giorni.
