Great hotel for staying right in Taormina.Posted Oct 21, 2012
Pros: It was kept very clean and they had some parking for a rental car we did bring with us.
Cons: More ammenities;hook for towel by shower, shelf inside shower for shampoo, table by mirror for toiletires, & table or holder for suitcases.
Location: It was way up top, so it was a bit of a hike to the central part of Taormina, but after a while we got use to the walk.
The family who runs the hotel went out of their way to be sure we had all we needed. They gave us the best sights to see and directions to get to all. They were very friendly and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Taormin.

Quiet and accommodating.Posted Oct 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is located near the main center of Taormina with good access to restaurants for the evening meal. The pool was lovely, but quite cool. Many stairs to negotiate. The staff was delightful; a family operation.
Very nice and helpfull staff, clean hotel,Posted Sep 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
Very nice and helpfull staff, clean hotel and good location, overall good experiance for what you pay. Good breakfast. The only minus is the position of the pool as sun only between 11 and 3 o'clock ( we stayed in this hotel for two night beginning of the September). Toarmina is beautifull place to stay, well worth it for the short break.

Great personal attention and friendly staffPosted Jul 18, 2012
Pros: The warm and friendly attitude of the owners and staff
Location: Just about 5 or six minutes on foot from the main pedestrian area.
This is a small family run hotel where everyone works hard to make sure that their guests enjoy their holiday. We stayed for nine nights recently and were most impressed. The family are keen to please, the hotel in kept spotlessly clean and the fact that this small hotel has a pool [not that common in Taormina as far as we could tell] was a real bonus. Great value all round.

A sweet comfortable hotel with an amazing, friendly service. The area is very quiet and relaxing and only a few minutes away from the centre of Taormina. Thank you HOTEL SOLEADO for your hospitality. SIMPLY PERFECT!

Amazing family run hotel, great location & value for moneyPosted Sep 4, 2011
Roberto and his family were so welcoming and helpful. They really made our stay in Taormina a memorable one. Our room had a great side view of the ocean and balcony facing the pool. 5 minute walk into the hustle and bustle of the main square. I would definiately reccommend this hotel to families, couples and groups.

great location, shame about the noisePosted Oct 11, 2008
The Soleado is located a short stroll from the centre of Taormina. Initially it looks great however there is a real problem with noise at night as the walls between rooms are paper-thin meaning we could hear far more than we would ever want to from the bathroom next door. We also requested a deluxe/superior room with a double bed, whereas we got what was clearly a triple room with single beds pushed together. The decor was also pretty cheap and old fashioned so that although the room was large it lacked comfort (the bathroom in particular was old, with a shower that was more of a trickle, a short shower curtain not a screen etc). Parking was also an issue - while they do organise it for you, it's not official and kind of expensive. As Taormina is so small and driving so hasardous, it actually seemed pointless and unnecessary stress to bring one anyway.

Would not returnPosted Oct 2, 2008 on Hotels.com
Comfortable bed, large balcony, but pokey bathroom, unfriendly welcome, parking charge (if public car park full), poor service, and a penny-pinching, plated breakfast. Nice pool though and quiet situation.

Nice family run hotelPosted Sep 30, 2008 on Hotels.com
It was pretty good for a 2 star although you had to be careful when having a shower as the water ended up running into the bedroom. The furnishings were basic but the staff lovely and friendly. Parking cost 8 euro a night which wasn't that bad considering how small and busy the streets are here

Nice hotelPosted Oct 6, 2007
Enjoyed our stay very much. Friendly and comfortable hotel with a swimming pool. Only a short walk to the main street, the shops and restaurants and the cable car to the beach.
