Lovely hotel, amazing location and roof terracePosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The comfy beds, pleasant décor with clean lines, excellent breakfast and beautiful roof terrace. Most staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Size of the room when accommodating 3 people; internal communications.
Location: Excellent location, just opposite the beach. Good choice of eateries nearby. Convenient for transport.
We had stayed in this lovely hotel 2 weeks earlier, but were a little disappointed with the room allocated to us this time - mainly because there were 3 of us squashed into a room for 2 persons. The hotel was very helpful in letting us check in early, but this was possibly the reason why the room did not seem to be as clean as on our previous stay. Due to an early flight the next morning, we were going to have to leave half an hour or so before breakfast time. The hotel appeared very accommodating in confirming that they would arrange for us to have a basic breakfast in reception before we left. Presumably due to a communications breakdown, this did not materialise but the gentleman on reception arranged for us to go up to the breakfast room and help ourselves to what the poor lady setting up was able to offer at that time. This was a little unsettling (for her and for us), but luckily we didn't lose too much time and were able to enjoy some of the hotel's delicious breakfast food before our journey home .

Nice HotelPosted Aug 3, 2014
If you are driving into town from the airport or Athens, follow the sign that says "beach", not the sign that says "center". I stayed two times in Pharae Palace for only one night the first time and two the second time. Both were pleasant stays. This is an upscale hotel. The location looks over the waterfront. Sometimes there are motorcycles zooming up and down the street, to show off, and are very loud if you are sitting outside or have the door open. It was over quickly and it was not a problem for sleeping when the door was closed. The staff was formal, but nice and helpful. The parking along the street is not so great, but I found out on the second trip that there is a parking garage and they will give you a special opener to park in there. The wifi in my rooms was great. There is a nice bar up on the roof and you can sit outside as well. It is really beautiful up there. The breakfast buffet on the roof is magnificent! To get to the "old" town, you will need to take a bus or taxi or else it is a long walk.

BeddingPosted Jul 26, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, friendly and professional staff
Location: Walk up and down the Navarinou Avenue right in front of the hotel, great cafes, nice people, safe, great dinning. Kalamata is a great destination.
Everything was great about this hotel. Their choice of bedding was very eccentric. High quality mattresses but very hard and very uncomfortable for side sleepers.

This was a fantastic hotel. The hotel staff were very accomodating and breakfast was awesome! The only drawback was that it was hot in the room and we could not get the air conditioner to cool it down.
