Took a train through the Alps from Munich to Venice. The train stop in right across the road from the hotel, but noise at the hotel is not an issue. The hotel staff is extremely helpful. The hotel is not on the island, but the bus that runs to the island boards right outside of the hotel and is less than a 10 minute ride to the island. The hotel is clean and well kept. Great breakfast with a big selection. The room we stayed in was updated and spacious. Would stay here again on a return trip.

We arrived one hour early, called the hotel and they sent the shuttle within minutes. The reception staff were excellent and we were upgraded to a superior room.
The hotel is relatively new and very modern. We wanted to stay outside central Venice so that when we come back in the evening we would have peace and quite. The bus stop was only 100 metres away from the hotel which was very convenient.
If we go back to Venice again we will definitely stay at the Best Western Plus Quid .
Thanks to all staff who were very helpful.

First class. Excellent staff look after guests, both in sleeping accommodation and daytime service. A hotel that caters to its clientele perfectly, nothing is too much trouble.
The two nights spent was nowhere near enough to sample its ambience.
Hope to be going back to Venice next year & will want to stay there again. Unfortunately, when news of this gem is in the public domain, there may be no room!!

Stayed here for 5 nights! Amazing hotel, lovely room! Only about five minutes walk, if that, away from the bus stop into Venice! Only a ten minute journey, really easy. Was my first time in Venice and we were able to navigate easily, the bus station must only be a 15 minute lovely walk away from the square with a lot on the way! Loved the city and to be in a hotel so close and so nice for such a little price was a bonus! Knew it wouldn't be in the middle of Venice due to the price we wanted to pay but the bus station was so easy and close and came every 15 minutes, you can get tickets from the hotel for something like 2,60 return! We had a great stay, friendly staff, helpful shuttle service to the hotel from the airport and Venice is simply amazing. Great mixture of great rooms/staff and a good location into Venice, with such a cheap price as well! We had an amazing stay!

The Hotel San Carlo is located 10-15 minutes from Venice by bus. Walk to the bus is 3 minutes. We took the train to and from Venice Mestre and it was less than a 10 minute bus ride to the train station. The staff especially Francesco were very helpful. The rooms were clean and quiet. When in Italy you are going to do a lot of walking. Restaurants were about a km away. No big deal.

Northwest of Venice on the mainland, Mestre is often used by travelers as a base for exploring Venice and the Veneto. Piazza Ferretto, Mestre's pedestrian-friendly main square, includes cafes, shops, and the town's 12th-century watchtower. The Brenta Canal, famous for its elegant Palladian villas, empties into the lagoon next to Mestre and stretches to the historic university city of Padua.
