Very niche hotel for the pricePosted Mar 26, 2014
This hotel seems very new and only one block away from the Main Street reforma. Totally worth it!

The EBC CityExpress is very well located near the corner of Reforma and Insurgentes and across the street from Plaza 222 Reforma, which is a small shopping center that has several restaurants including, La Distileria, Chili's, PF Changs and a Sanborns. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are modern with a large shower that has good water pressure considering the building is Leed certified. On the negative side, the hotel is a "teaching hotel" for a hotel/restaurant school and some of the personnel are inexperienced and not very helpful. The restaurant serves a complimentary Continental breakfast that includes fruit, coffee and yogurt but there is a charge of $65 pesos for the hot breakfast buffet. I preferred to cross the street for breakfast as there is a Sanborns with a complete breakfast menu and buffet at the Plaza 222 Reforma mall. Overall, a good value.

hard bedPosted May 13, 2010
The hotel itself was great, decent breakfast and great location for what we needed. But the bed was the most uncomfortable piece of plywood I've ever had to sleep on.

Nice but..Posted Apr 14, 2010
The hotel is conveniently located, has nice- smallish rooms, and the hotel service is excellent. There is on street paid parking( weekends free), a mall is across from the hotel. However maintenance seems to be running behind. In the first room there were numerous big stains on the carpet, so we requested another room. Our second room had an AC unit that did not function and the bathroom fan did not work. Finally the third room was OK except for a broken lightbulb. Other than that, it was a great hotel with a nice complimentary breakfast buffet.

GREAT LOCATIONPosted Oct 2, 2009
The hotel has a great location, very near all the historical and comercial sites in Mexico city, steps away fron to of the most important public transport lines (bus, metro and metro bus)
