“ITS OK”
I DONT THINK ITS A 4 STAR HOTEL
“Good value in great location”
This was our third stay at this hotel, and the first time we were disappointed. TV set was not plugged in or hooked up to the antenna. DVD player was not wired up to the TV. There was one bathrobe and one pair of slippers for two guests. Everything is extra--water for coffee, room coffee service, internet, etc. Something has changed with the management since our last stay just 2 months prior. These are relatively minor problems, but they were annoying and unexpected.
“Very nice place”
The Fiesta Americana Chapultepec is a very nice hotel. The room was very nice and the service was timely and prompt. The breakfast and in-room service was expensive as the hotel caters to tourists. I recommend Fanu, a local restaurant just up the street for afforadable fare. Parking is valet only since the hotel has a small footprint.
“Great Value For The Price”
Hotel is situated close to many attractions. The room were standard compare to other major hotel chains. The staff was friendly and helpful, but make sure you get your own cab and not use the ones park outside the hotel which the staff recommended, the rates are 3 times the normal rate, always ask how much to get you to your destination. Mexico City is such a large city that if you don't know where you are going don't rent a car. We learn that the 1st day since the Hertz rental car didn't have GPS, we just returned the car and use the public transit system, which was very safe and efficient.
“would definately stay here again!”
As soon as we checked in we were greeted and attended to promptly. They were courteous and helpful. Immediately provided all information we needed.
“Will stay again”
Wonderful Hotel, Great staff (they all speak English). The hotel restaraunt was suitable. Doorman asked if i needed a cab to the airport, which i did and he secured one for me. Nice clean room, the bathroom was clean. Room service was delicious and efficient. I will be traveling a lot to Mexico City in the future and this will be my hotel of choice until they give me a reason to change. Cab ride was $20 USD each way airport to hotel.
“Great Value Hotel”
The hotel is excellent, great service and amenities.
“Great location.”
Very well located hotel. There is a 24 hour mini-super just a block and a half away. Everybody there are very nice and kind. Don´t take the taxis they offer you at the hotel, what they charge is a rip off! Better ask the operator to give you the number of a Taxi Central and ask for a taxi yourself: they are secure, reliable and fare.
“Very pleased”
The hotel was excellent. The staff was courteous and professional. The neighborhood was safe to the point where I had no problem taking a stroll late in the evening. Pharmacies and convenience stores close by. Food was great and they even had Fernet at the bar! I could see the Palace from my window. Very nice!
“Great location”
The hassle about bringing in food to the hotel from outside is a little bit exaggerated but it may be true nevertheless. Anyway, around the block there are plenty of restaurants and 3 convenience stores. Get out on Tolstoi side, make a left and go 1/2 block and you have "Los Panchos", a well known long (1945) restaurant serving "gorditas" of pork and other fine fare. Continue one block more towards Leibnitz and you will find the convenience stores and other restaurants. There is a "Subway" on the corner of Leibnitz and Victor Hugo. Just be careful crossing Leibnitz, because cars and buses come at you at great speed. Wait for the cross light. About 4 long blocks away there is a massive mall also.
