This is a solid-budget hotel option for Central Mexico City, about half the price of the Hilton next door. I enjoyed the stay and would likely stay again if I were going to stay in this part of the city again:
Pros:
- Price is hard to beat.
- Location: great walkable area, busy area, easy access to transit.
- Nice size room
Cons -
- Room walls are paper thin, could hear neighbors' conversations
- Most room windows open up to an interior courtyard, so leaving shades open invites putting on a show for fellow guests.
- Most staff does not speak Engish, but it's a Spanish-speaking country, so this is for awareness, not a deal breaker
- The hotel is located inside a shopping center, which does have some pros, but scheduling transfers, tour pick-ups, or food delivery to the hotel can present challenges. (Most will go to the Hilton next door regardless of instructions.
- Prices inside the hotel are pricey, even for bottled water. There are multiple convenience stores around to get supplies for a fraction of the cost.
Overall, nice hotel... I got lucky with my room at the end of the hallway, so only one neighbor and that room was empty for most of my stay. You could likely get a room between 2 expected noise level/volume guests and have a tough visit. You'll have to measure your price vs. comfort tolerance.
