Nice and cleanPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Well situated. Not very expenive .
Cons: Insulation in front ( noise )
Location: Insurgentes boulevard 5 minutes away, you can take the bus or have a nice long walk to parks and retaurants.
Large rooms, very clean. Only problem is the street in front, very noisy. If you want to sleep late you better ask for a room on the other side.

Nice hotel, security may be compromisedPosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: The rooms
Cons: The security and the facilities
Location: Very close, literally 100m from the World Trade Center tower - very convenient for anyone working at the WTC.
The rooms themselves were exceedingly nice and the employees were helpful and pleasant. However, there was a complete lack of facilities in the hotel which made it impossible to do laundry, for example - I was instructed to go to the corner laundromat to do laundry, which was consistently closed. Breakfast was not included but the restaurant was open most of the time - just don't try anything fancy and you'll be ok - the restaurant was good at the Mexican dishes but not good at all at the fondue or artichoke, for example. The really worrying event while my friend and I were staying at this hotel was a possible attempted kidnapping on him. He received a call in the middle of the night from someone who didn't know his last name, and it seemed the hotel reception had provided a great deal of information about him to this person, including what country he was from, his room number and what company he worked for. The caller was on the street or hotel lobby, and tried to convince him that she knew him from some event that he had never been to, and that he should come down - which he declined. Discussing it the next day, we could understand why the reception would put a call through with just someone's name, but not why they would provide all the other personal details, including the room number. We also heard the next day from colleagues that there was a group of Colombians kidnapping people in the area recently (the caller had been Colombian).

Pros: See above.
Cons: See above.
Location: See above.
The room was gigantic with pleasant furnishings and a large comfortable bed. My room was at the back and was very quiet. The marble bath (shower only) was very nice. Service from the AC unit was awful! The AC remote did not work even after exchanging it for a new one at the front desk. For this reason I would not recommend staying here during the warm season, or at least bring/buy a fan and be prepared to battle mosquitoes. Also, the TV remote did not work, even though it was also exchanged at the front desk twice. The helpfulness of the front desk was hit or miss: some were very pleasant and helpful, others were indifferent. No one was unpleasant. Our group had reserved 9 or 10 rooms at the same time and several guests remarked they had similar issues with remotes, AC, and the front desk. (So I'm not just that one guest who always writes a whiny review.) Despite all of the above, I enjoyed the hotel restaurant very much (we had breakfast). Complimentary bottled water was delivered every day. The room had a safe and iron/ironing board. In-room coffee making was not provided. Restaurants and shops were close by. Taxi service available in front. All-in-all, probably a solid 3-3.5 out of 5; higher if they correct remote and AC issues.

Great hotel choice for a Mexico City visitPosted May 22, 2013
Pros: Large room. Nice bathroom/shower and toiletries.
Cons: Bedding and furnishings could use updating.
Location: Easy taxi ride from airport to hotel. Multiple public transportation choices within a block. Great food/drink choices within 3 blocks. Safe area.
Nice hotel room... size of a small apartment. Felt very 'home-like' and was nice to come back to after a day of sightseeing. Nice shower/bathroom. Front desk accommodated my after midnight arrival. Hotel was in great area for market, coffee, and dining/drinking options. Taxis are across the street from hotel and the great Metrobus is a block away. Entire area felt very safe, even when walking about after 10:00 pm on my own. Did not get a chance to try the small restaurant in the hotel but it looked good. Hotel is a GREAT value.

Stay here!Posted Feb 12, 2013
Pros: The terrace and the bathroom
Cons: lack of furniture on the terrace
Location: great location, by WTC and great restaurants and night life
Wonderful boutique hotel very conveniently located by the WTC. The room was fantastic with a great terrace. The room was long, with a king size bed, a living room and a dining room. There was a walk in closet that led to a very nice bathroom with a great shower. Loved this place. I travel about six months of the year and live in hotels and this is one of my all time favorites.

Hotel staff need better trainingPosted Jan 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel overall is just OK. The lobby is small and nothing special. The room is the only thing I truly enjoyed about the hotel (very large room and nice bathroom). What I didn't like about the hotel is that the hotel staff is poorly trained in customer service skills in treating their hotel guests. I arrived around midnight after having visitied friends for dinner. I walked up to the hotel entrance and since they don't have a doorbell, I knocked. The bell boy answered and treated me as if I was somebody from the street (no "Good Evening" no "How may I help you?") He didn't even speak to me in the formal tense of: Usted. He kept asking me questions in the form of Tu (which any respectable hotel would never do to a hotel guest) I even complained to the hotel manager because I was very upset the way I was treated by that employee. The hotel overall has a great large room, but...that's it! Don't expect to be pampered here!
