Pros: Friendly staff, good restaurant, affordable rates for okay accommodations. Authentic Mexican experience. Many guests were Spanish speaking.
Cons: If you want museums, churches, attractions, stay in the Centro Historico. Hotel could use a few small touch ups. Overall - good. Price - affordable.
Location: Siqueiros' March for Humanity, leafy neighbourhood, great Argentinian steak house two blocks (excellent at 60% less than in Canada or US.)
This hotel isn't for everyone. After a 3 day stay in the Centro Historico, I wanted to see another neighbourhood. Based on reviews and price the choice came down between the Intercontinental (surprisingly afforable) and this small hotel in Colonia Napoles adjacent the World Trade Centre. The hotel is six storeys, about 20 rooms. I had a suite on the top floor and it was truly huge. The hotel is clean but is beginning to show the signs of age and that would probably exclude it for a lot of travellers. Staff - and that means everyone - extremely helpful. Given the tiny size of the lobby, one interacts with them all the time. The hotel has a restaurant which is open to the public and which is probably its best feature. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant and had excellent breakfasts there - about $10 USD as breakfast was not included in my rate. The Colonia Napoles neighbourhood is attractive and safe but not very exciting. Inquiring about local attractions it was suggested that I try the Centro Historico, the Zona Rosa or the Frida Kahlo Museum in Coyoacan. However, staff helped book me on a very enjoyable day trip to Cuernavaca and Taxco through a local travel agent. There are several dozen places to eat an grab a drink within easy reach of the hotel. The magnificent Polyforum Siqueiros featuring the artist's March of Humanity is a 5 minute walk. The MetroBus on Avenida Insurgentes is also 5 minutes away.

TripAdvisor Overrated

Posted Feb 14, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel was very nice, but a bit overrated on TripAdvisor. The housekeeping was great, and the staff very polite. The security in front seemed vigilant, and I felt safe in the hotel. But the room was not 100% maintained. Also, this is a very noisy location, and it seemed like the windows did not seal well, so the street sounds sounded like they were right inside the room. The might invest in soundproof glass or better seals on the windows. There was an extra shower head that didn't function, and the shower door leaked out onto the bathroom floor leaving big puddles when showering. Overall it is an okay place to stay, but did not live up to the high reviews on TripAdvisor.

Lovely little hotel

Hotel del Parque is where we usually stay in Mexico City because it is a comfortable, elegant and well situated hotel that is staffed with friendly people, and has excellent service and rooms. We unfailingly enjoy our stay and always feel excited to either end or begin our vacations here, making this a wonderful welcome and fair well to our trips in Mexico.

Great Place!

Hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The neighborhood is very safe and central. Overall, a great hotel. I recommend asking for a room that doesn't face the World Trade Center as it can get a little noisy (especially if there are any events going on at Pepsi Center)

Buena ubicación

La ubicación y el precio están excelentes. El mobiliario es demasiado viejo... No funcionó la regadera...
